Bud Dupree is tired of getting blown out

Bud Dupree is tired of losing and he’s really tired of getting blown out. When talking to the media before Joker’s press conference today, Dupree called the Missouri loss the low point of the season and said he is just as frustrated as the fans about Kentucky’s constant losing. “We just want to win,” he said. “We just can’t pull one off.”

Dupree and his teammates will be looking to get revenge on Vanderbilt this Saturday. He called last year’s 38-3 loss at Vandy the low point of 2011. He told reporters, “Vanderbilt was supposed to be the bottom of the SEC (last year), but it turns out we were.”

“I’m tired of getting blown out.”

Hell, I’m tired of watching them get blown out. Do something about it like tackle, defend, hold your position, run harder, block better, throw to open receivers, catch the ball then run, hold on to the ball, option out of bad plays. I’m willing to support if they would jsut offer a decent product.

Depree has been playing pretty good, so i feel for him. This is the worst prepared team i have ever seen.

I think Mitch should let Joker have this game vs. Vandy on Saturday. After they lose he makes the announcement during the bye week. The press conference is Joker saying he is resigning while sitting next to Barnhart. Then Mitch hands Joker a check for leaving gracefully and he coaches his last game in Commonwealth in a win vs. Samford while Mitch stalks the Monday night football van to get Gruden to come with a 3.5MM salary. Make him the highest paid in the SEC (sans Saben)

Vandy ranks better in the following NCAA Stats: Offense: Rushing, Passing,Scoring, and Total Offense. UK is better only in Red Zone oddense. Vandy ranks higher than UK in the same defensive categories and they rank higher in Turnover Margin. I post this info in the event that there may be some UK fans who believe we will win this game. We won’t.

So now the question becomes, How many games under .500 will we be as a program when Joker leaves? And how long will we stay under .500?

We here ya Bud. But, you’ve been here 2 years (and what exactly were you thinking coming here). We (the fans) have been suffering through getting blown out for decades. We keep holding out hope that we will eventually get an AD that is serious about football that will go out and get us a real football coach. Bud, we are all praying you get a serious coach for your remaining 2 years.

    GO BIG BLUE

Gruden would not accept the UK job regardless of salary. It is not about money. We would be lucky to get a Cutcliff. Not saying I want him but Cat fans have unrealistic expectations about what kind of coach would consider UK regardless of salary. Get over it. It is not going to happen.

Joker – be a MAN, and resign. If you truly care about this program as much as everyone says you do – RESIGN now! You are only hurting the program, players, fans, future coach, and future players if you continue this charade that you are a SEC football coach. You made things worse by becoming coach, each year worse than the last. If Mitch isn’t man enough to fire you now – you need to offer your resignation and finally put the football program FIRST.

I really wish the BOT would come out in the media and tell Mitch that they are firing Joker now, and that they will be in charge of hiring the next coach. I have no faith that Mitch has the ability to secure the type of HC we need. Can you imagine who Mitch would have hired to replace BCG if the task had been his? No Cal, and no National Championship.

. One player says it. The others are quite comfortable with it. Let’s be honest. Joker has transformed a culture of wanting to believe that we are relevant to a culture where if they play ‘hard’ for 1 quarter or one half everyone pats them on the rear and says ‘how nice!’. Did you see Sabin when his 3rd string team jacked up a play? Satan indeed! And look at the culture…one of perfection and the other of ‘a-GA-in…the (fill in the blank) did not blah blah blah. Frankly Joker makes me sick. Mitch makes me sicker. The hire that should have never been made to start with. Joker has no more bitnet running a 152 million dollar corporation than I have flying the Space Shuttle. And a-GA-in…who hired this pretender? And who that owns a company continues to throw good money after bad? First rule in business…do NOT be sentimental. It’s a Numbers Game. Period. Look at the Numbers. Read them & weep. .

I hope you and the other players get a decent staff next year but we do have ol’ Mitchy Poo in charge so you might want to look at transferring if winning is important to you. This is UK football and no one in charge gives a rats ass about winning.

Dead on # 20. Joker was a damn stupid hire from the get-go! When Brooks left, Kentucky was ready to make a splash hire and in typical Kentucky football fashion, Barnhart blows it!

Barnhart is the problem here folks….

Ya’ll be nice and give my boy time to straighten out that football team. He inherited a mess when he came to coach UK. He had offers to be head coach at Florida, Ohio State, the Dallas Cowboys and he decided to stay home and return the Cats to glory. He is almost there and ya’ll want to mess thangs up?! He has a chance to beat the likes of Kent St and Samford and several other moral victories as well. Hey as long as my boy’s work girlfriend Mitch is charge I think things will be just fine for my boy. Mitch brought over a DVD of BrokeBack Mountain and wanted my boy to go on a fishin trip with him? those boys……

Dupree’s attitude is what we need. You can’t fault him for the latest failures, he works his butt off. I hope he passes his attitude over to the rest of the team. We can say this about Williamson, Harmon, Uku and several others also.

I feel for Dupree and the others on this team. It isn’t their fault. It falls on the shoulders of the coaching staff and their failure to get the team prepared to play to win. Teams such as TCU and Boise St. have managed to win with talent that is similar to UK’s. It comes down to preparation and this coaching staff has no clue just how to do it.
