If you are someone who either doesn’t have a family outing to go to this Thanksgiving, or gets easily bored with your family on Thanksgiving, WAZOO Sports is giving you some amazing programming, including a couple old UK games that I would be willing to bet most of you have not seen. Here is there schedule for Thanksgiving:
2PM: 1996 NCAA Championship (Kentucky vs. Syracuse)
430PM: 1966 NCAA Championship (Kentucky vs. Texas Western)
545PM: Documentary on 1958 National Champions (Narrated by Adolph Rupp)
645PM: 1958 National Championship (Kentucky vs Seattle)
(Special thank go to Danielle Kom, WAZOO’s terrific sideline reporter for their live games, for sending me the schedule of events.)
I have been told that the documentary narrated by Adolph Rupp is a MUST-WATCH, as I know a lot of UK fans who likely have rarely heard Rupp’s voice, much less his breakdown of a season. And I know I have never seen the 1958 title game in its entirety.
So while I will not be able to watch these live, you can bet my DVR will have 7-8 hours of WAZOO programming on it today. Hopefully, lots of you have the opportunity to watch as well.
Happy Thanksgiving to All.
