BTI’s Rants and Ramblings: Wall’s Records Already in Jeopardy

Want to know the immediate impact John Calipari has had on the UK program?  Well, his recruits have already set the freshman record for points, rebounds, assists, and is 2nd in steals.  John Wall and Demarcus Cousins hold those records currently, but Terrence Jones, Brandon Knight, and Doron Lamb may be making their stay there short-lived.  The currents stats for those 2 guys are:

Jones: 20.7 ppg, 10.2 rpg, 2.5 bpg, 1.5 spg
Knight: 17.3 ppg, 3.3 apg
Lamb: 1.5 spg

Now, if the Cats are able to play 38 games like last year’s Cats were, here is where Jones and Knight would rank in several of the freshman categories at Kentucky:

POINTS
1. Terrence Jones: 786
2. Brandon Knight: 657
3. John Wall: 616
4. Demarcus Cousins: 575
5. Rex Chapman: 464

(Note: For a 38 game season, a player needs to average 16.2 ppg to pass Wall.  For a 37 game season, that number becomes 16.6 ppg.  For a 36 game season, that number becomes 17.1 ppg)
