BTI’s Rants and Ramblings: Thomas Beisner calls for 11 wins!

A couple weeks ago I commented in a post that I thought UK could potentially have a very good season, meaning 8 or 9 wins.  Well, everybodys favorite KSR writer who is also a father and lives Florida while being a Tampa Bay Rays fan, Thomas Beisner, decided to jump on the crazy train and call for 11 wins.  So, just to appease him, I have gone throught the schedule and reasoned out how Kentucky could win 11 games this season.  I then laughed my ass off for the next hour at just the concept of UK pulling something like that off.  Take a look:

September 4th: at Louisville
-New coach, New Schemes
-Talent depleted
-3 game losing streak to Kentucky
-No depth on offensive and defensive lines
-Questions at QB

September 11th: Western Kentucky
-Home Game
-New Coach, New Schemes
-Coming off 0-12 season
-Talent deprived on both sides of ball
-Sun Belt school
-Won 41-3 2 years ago

September 18th: Akron
-Home Game
-New Coach, New Schemes
-Never beaten an SEC school
-Lost 16 straight road openers
-MAC school, talent gap to Kentucky

October 2nd: at Ole Miss
-Replacing starting QB, RB, and top WR
-Only returning 10 total starters
-Inexperienced defensive backfield
-Hemingway Stadium not intimidating
-Lost 8 home games last 3 years

October 9th: Auburn
-Home Game
-UK won on the road last year
-Breaking in New QB
-2-7 last 2 seasons on the road
-Returning 8 starters off a less than stellar defense

October 16th: South Carolina
-Home Game
-Stephen Garcia medicore QB
-Cats are due against Spurrier
-5-10 on the road last 3 seasons
-UK ran for 205 yards in last years game

October 23rd: Georgia
-Home Game
-Cats won on the road last season
-Georgia playing with freshman QB
-Georgia only returning 5 starters on defense
-Georgia has Florida the next weekend
-Inexperienced Secondary

October 30th: Mississippi State
-UK won last 2 meetings in Starkville
-Picked to be worst team in Western division
-UK rushed for 189 yards in last years game
-New starting QB and RB for Bulldogs
-Lost Anthony Dixon, who ran for 252 yards in last years game
-Miss St. has Alabama the next weekend

November 6th: Charleston Southern
-Home Game
-They are terrible

November 13th: Vanderbilt
-Home Game
-New Coach
-Worst team in the SEC
-Ineptitude at the QB position
-Randall Cobb dominated Vandy last season
-Vandy defense replacing several key pieces

November 27th: at Tennessee
-Tennessee as talent-deprived as anytime in last 25 years
-New Coach, New Schemes
-UT lacking offensive weapons
-Last UK win came in Knoxville
-Injuries on the lines for UT
-Confidence may be on UK’s side for once
