-25 years is enough.  We now have equal talent to Tennessee, or at least close enough to compete and win.  They have had a HORRIBLE off-season, coaching changes, and typical UT thug actions.  The game is in Knoxville this year, which makes it significantly more difficult, but the last time UK beat UT in 1984, that game was in Knoxville.  THIS IS THE YEAR!!!

-Even more than beating our rival, this game is so key to start the Joker Phillips era off on the right foot.  Plus, this is going to be the last year the talent gap is this wide between UK and UL.  Charlie Strong is bringing in some serious talent, assuming any of them can get qualified.  Nonetheless, this game should go in the win column for UK, but in this rivalry, we never know.  Plus that whole QB problem for Kentucky worries me.

-I am soooooo sick of losing to South Carolina.  I am more sick of losing to Steve Spurrier.  Plus the game is in Lexington this year.  Spurrier’s time is winding down in Cocksville, and if UK can’t pull it off this year, it ain’t never gonna happen.

-Why do I put this game so high?  Because this game could be the breaking point for a good season or a disaster season.  Assuming UK wins and loses the games it should, it would enter this game 4-4.  Plus Mississippi State has always been a thorn in the paw of UK seasons.  Remember Andre Woodson’s senior year?  Remember last season?  If UK can get this SEC road win, a bowl game is almost assured.

-All of the sudden, it seems UK has figured out Georgia.  Last year’s road win in Athens was HUGE, but the Cats have been competitive for 5 years with Georgia, winning twice.  Plus the game is in Lexington this season, and much like the Miss St. game, a win here and UK is looking at a pretty damn good season.  Plus Mark Richt is so freaking smug and their players have that Justin Beiber look going on.

-This is a game that UK will go into under the radar, and I am sure Ole Miss will not circle this one on the schedule.  But the last couple years, UK has a way of winning games they shouldn’t on the road.  This is the game that can fall under that category this season.  Ole Miss is better than UK.  But so was Auburn and Georgia last year.  I want this win because it keeps the road momentum from the past couple years going.

-Auburn is one of those teams that is still living off its “prestige” more than its results.  They have not been national title contenders but one season in the past 15 years.  An average UK team went onto their home field and came out winners last year.  I just don’t like the smugness of the Auburn program.  They low down, they dirty, and they some snitches.

-We just can’t lose to a crappy Vandy team with a interim coach.  I don’t really care about this game as much as I take it for granted.  And generally that means UK will blow it.  But, no matter what happens before this game, if the Cats choke this one up, the season just has a black cloud over it.

-Time to pad the stats.  So its not so much that I want to win this game, I want to win it BIG.  This is the game that allows our quarterbacks to have more touchdowns than interceptions for the season.  I kid, I kid.

-Honestly, I didn’t even know this game was on the schedule until I pulled it up this morning.  I truly am less excited for this game than any on the schedule.  Obviously the Cats don’t need to lose this one, and they won’t because this is no longer 2005 UK.  This is now a program that doesn’t struggle with these games anymore (see Miami OH last year).  Which is nice, because I still have nightmares about that Ohio game.

-Simply put, and this may make me a bad fan, but I don’t think the Cats can win this game.  So, as a result, I really don’t have the WANT to win this game like the others on the schedule.  I really want to beat Florida bad.  Maybe as bad as Tennessee.  But as long as Urban Meyer is in charge, my hopes diminish greatly.

-My favorite team against my alma mater.  I come out a winner anyway you look at it.  This game is just gravy for me.
