From now until the state tournament, I will keep you updated with the important scores around the state, at least those involving Top 20 teams.

Monday schedule
#1 Scott County vs Sayre (at Henry Clay, 42nd district, 11th region)
#9 Mason County vs Augusta (at Mason Co., 39th district, 10th region)
#11 Corbin vs Williamsburg (at Williamsburg, 50th district, 13th region)

1. Let’s have a little guessing game:  Who do you all think is the highest paid defensive player in NFL history?  Dwight Freeney?  Warren Sapp back in the day?  Brian Urlacher?  Although there is no way to test this, I bet I could give you 20 guesses and you wouldn’t get it.

2. I have talked about Charles Barkley alot in this post in the past.  I think he is one of my favorite athletes for his honest nature, something that is so rare anymore in sports (A-Rod anyone?).  I also talked about my disapproval of his becoming involved in the Auburn football hiring.  But, Charles always pulls me back in, and after his recent DUI, it took alot of guts for Charles to do what he did, apologize honestly on national TV.  No excuses, nobody to blame but himself.  I am back on the good side of Charles.

3. Hey, America has Erin Andrews.  Take a look at what other nations around the world have in her place. *NSFW*

4. You know a group of people I can’t stand: activists.  In this country, you have the right to protest and speak your peace.  But the problem with activists (PETA anyone?) is that they are more concerned with getting publicity for themselves rather than improve their cause.  Perfect example: UCONN coach Jim Calhoun was ambushed after a game this weekend about making a 1.5 million dollar salary in a tough economy.  The “reporter”, who is a self-proclaimed activist, asked him if he was going to give any back.  Luckily, Calhoun had some facts in his pocket.  Like UCONN men’s basketball makes 12 million dollars a year for the university.  Suck on that activists.
