Did anyone else find the New Year show with Dick Clark depressing?  The man who never seemed to age is now getting worse and worse physically every year after suffering a stroke, and this year is was just sad to watch.  His teeth are falling out now, and his speech is getting worse to where he is almost not understandable.  I hope somebody steps in and tells Clark to hang it up, as for me it hurts the New Year celebration to see him struggle so much.  He has earned the right to leave the scene whenever he damn well pleases, and I regret that Ryan Seacrest will take over, but it’s just time.  On a more positive note, everything today is about former UK players/coaches and their successes or failures:

1. NBA Recap:
Bogans has rough game, but Magic dominate
Tayshuan goes for 16-7-5 in Pistons win
Azubuike scores 24, leads Warriors to loss

2. NFL Season Recap:
Keenan Burton: 13 catches, 132 yards, 1 TD
Otis Grigsby: 1 tackle (8 games)
Glenn Holt: 3 catches, 26 yards, 1 TD
Steve Johnson: 10 catches, 102 yards, 2 TD’s
Rafael Little: DNP this season
Marlon McCree: 29 tackles (8 games)
Dewayne Robertson: 22 tackles, 1.5 sacks
Jacob Tamme: 3 catches, 12 yards
Wesley Woodyard: 55 tackles

3. Rough night for former UK coaches: Tubby’s Gophers got whipped on their home floor by Michigan St., proving that they probably are not a threat just yet in the Big Ten.  And Pitino’s Bricklayers get beat AGAIN at home by UNLV on a late shot.  The Cards shoot 29% and make all UK fans go crazy with thoughts of winning the game on Sunday.
