Let’s take our gazes away from what has to be the most embarassing loss for UL in the modern series (yes, even more than 1998), and get a quick recap from the national weeked that was.

Records this weekend:

SEC: 10-1 (Tennessee game still pending, 3-0 against other BCS teams)

Big 12: 10-2 (2-1 against BCS teams)

Pac-10: 5-1 (conference games not included, UCLA still pending, 2-1 against BCS teams)

Big 10: 7-3 (1-2 against BCS teams, Michigan embarrasment not included)

ACC: 7-4 (1-3 against BCS teams)

Big East: 4-3 (Rutgers still pending, 0-2 against BCS teams not including Pittsburgh upset)

-My statement two weeks ago that “Nobody has wasted more good talent than Clemson in the last 5 years” seems a little more reasonable now, doesn’t it?

-Which team should be most embarrased: Michigan, Mississippi St., Pittsburgh, Texas A&M (the answer is A&M)

-Big East football just plain sucks, and ACC football is just plain unathletic and boring.  The SEC and Big 12 plus USC and Ohio St. is all colllege football is these days.

-The Cats easiest conference game is without question ARKANSAS.  Vandy actually looked pretty good Thursday.  That game is gonna be very tough.
