University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

Bring on the Eagles!

Our good friend Larry Vaught, the man with the latest in Verizon Droid technologies, reported late last night that Kentucky will play Morehead State on Wednesday, November 21, also known as the day before Thanksgiving. Vaught tweeted, “Write it down.”

UK will get a good look at the Eagles in the season opener when Morehead opens up for Kentucky and Maryland against Long Island in the brand new Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Kentucky and Morehead State last met in the 2009-2010 season opener at Rupp Arena. UK won 75-59 behind 24 points from Eric Bledsoe.

Cats.

Wish the CATS would schedule Murray State and play it in the Yum Center.

Will take this game in then as I travel back to Ky during Thanksgiving. Cool that Cal gives in state teams this chance.

It will be interesting to see if Murray steps up and schedules better non-conference teams next season. I know, they beat Memphis and St. Mary’s, but the only school they played from a legit conference was Marquette in the tourney.

Love it that two Kentucky teams will play the first games in the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. I wonder how much money Obama’s campaign pays KSR for all these ads.
