Break Out Your Dancing Shoes

Last year a simple arm movement became a sensation that swept the nation.  What will it be this year?  There has been plenty of speculation, and now twitter is blowing up with Kentucky players teasing the fans about tonights festivities, so let’s look at who to keep an eye on with…

KSR Dance Watch 2010:

-Earlier this week, Brandon Knight did an interview saying he would not be dancing at Midnight Madness.  In fact, Knight didn’t even dance at his prom.  Which further completes the comparison we have been drawing between Kentucky’s new point guard and Fake Gimel.

-Doron Lamb, on the other hand, promised a dance that will even surpass Walls.  In an interview with Aaron Smith of the Kentucky Kernel, Lamb said “Oh yeah, the D-Lamb is coming out tomorrow.  I know (I’m following Wall). I think my dance will be better than that.”

-A couple other people have been blowing it up on twitter.  Stacey Poole just teased the fans with Thinking bout what imma do tonight,’ while John Wall is promising that Terrence Jones will unleash the T-Jones tonight as well.  (Of course, that could just be Wall putting Jones on the spot.)

-It’s not a dance, but Darius Miller has promised Perry Stevenson a “720, between the legs, windmill over 3 seven footers off the backboard.”

Finally, Jorts will be doing the Carlton.  If he doesn’t want to break poor Beisner’s heart, that is.

In reality, is the dancing that might be done tonight that big of a deal?  No.  But some people were concerned about the younger players being a little shy, especially after the Madness campout.  It’s good to see that the team is looking forward to tonight as much as we are.

Go Cats.
