Braylon Heard will transfer to Kentucky

Sources tell Rivals’ Justin Rowland that Nebraska running back Braylon Heard will transfer to Kentucky. He will likely sit out the 2013 season and have two seasons of eligibility left.
Heard visited UK two weeks ago, and is currently a sophomore at Nebraska. He attended Cardinal Mooney High School in Youngstown, Ohio, which should sound very familiar to you by now since it’s the alma mater of both Mark Stoops and Vince Marrow, who was on Nebraska’s staff prior to leaving for UK. Coming out of high school, the four-star Heard was ranked the fifth best running back in the nation and the 57th overall player in the 2010 class. Last year, he averaged 6.69 yards per carry in 55 attempts and scored three touchdowns, but was unhappy with his reduced role in the Husker offense.
Watch him work:
Welcome to the fam, Braylon.

boom!!!
Will he have to sit out a yr?
Great News! Welcome aboard
STOOOOOPS!!!! SPRING GAME COULDN’T COME SOONER!
Bummer he has to sit but at the same time. OMG
I Heard that!
Awesome! Welcome aboard.
If he was class of 2010 that means he redshirted 2010, played in 2011 & 12, so if he sits out 2013 he’d only have 1 more year of eligibility in 2014 unless he was granted a 6th year, right?
This is fantastic. He is a beast.
Nebraska will hate us. Saw on a Cornhusker site a couple of months ago “Please don’t go to Kentucky”. This is a huge pick up for the Cats!

According to Nebraska’s athletic site his first season there was 2011.
YESSSSSSSSS
This kid couldn’t make the scout team for us. Good get for yu guys though.
Have we EVER had a running-back that was 5th best in his high-school class? That’s unprecedented!
11 – The first season he played for Nebraska was 2011, but he was definitely in the 2010 class. As #8 mentioned, he must have redshirted in 2010. So, how many years does he have left?
This kid is a big get. I like his combination of size, speed, and elusiveness. Hope he can catch the ball out of the backfield and fit well in our system.
He has not used his redshirt. He played as a freshman for NU in 2011 and as a sophomore in 2012. He will redshirt this season and have two years of eligibility remaining.
This is great! It seems as though we will be loaded at the Running Back position for years to come. I’m very excited to see the freshman, JoJo Kemp, start his career this fall. From what I’ve read he should be a major impact from the first day he steps foot on campus. Can’t wait for the actual rise of UK Football. See you all on Saturday! Go Cats!
Joe Schad and J Rowland reporting he will sit out this year and then have two years of eligibility remaining.
he is a touchdown machine on the field OMG he is awesome welcome
“Heard signed a letter of intent at NU in February 2010, but he failed to meet the NCAA’s initial eligibility requirements and did not join Huskers last year.”

Braylon has 3 years to play 2
Marrow is a Wizard. Believe it and enjoy. Braylon originally chose Nebraska not FSU if anyone still doubts.
Thank You Cardinal Mooney!! I think I am going to have to visit this place for a game sometime.
He greyshirted his first year. Has 3 years to play 2.
If he was the 5th best back in the class, who was 1st? This kid looks amazing!!!!
26- Marcus Lattimore was #1….
This cures any hangover from the UL basketball run. This guy is incredible. Go CATS!
This guy’s a beast!!!
Did anyone else notice the ref at the bottom left at :38? The ref was the quickest person on the field haha
I HEARD THAT Too!!
30, hilarious and accurate
#16 Do you honestly think that the staff would give up a spot if they didn’t think he fit the system? C’mon now, have faith. This staff isn’t foolish. They are young and hungry to succeed here at UK. I have never in my life had so much faith in a UK football staff. Hopefully, I am correct in assuming that this coaching staff will make every effort possible to make UK football relevant and compete in the SEC on a weekly basis. Only time will tell but I am excited to see what our product looks like come 2016-2017.
North/South runner that can bust gaps and get big pickups by making secondary miss. Pack some more weight on him and Kentucky will have a strong running back. Quality talent. Great get for Stoops.
This kid is amazing!!!
dude looks like a beast…nice vid
#30 yeah he was flying damn haha…at 2:30 on the option play was impressive as hell that he scored wow
He runs like AP!
Yes!!! 7-5 / 8-4 this year and 9-3 / 10-2 in 2014! Write. It. Down. Go Big Blue
Fumble at 6:38. Other than that, very talented kid! Can’t wait to see him play as a CAT!
