Brandon Knight’s Home Visit Moved To Today & Another Late Night in the Phog Visit Cancelled?

A few weeks ago, we were able to break a little bit of odd news surrounding Kansas and Doron Lamb. If you remember, Lamb’s father, Calvin, had no knowledge of a reported “Late Night in the Phog” visit from his son. Calvin also said that he had been asked about the visit before, which prompted him to ask his son, who also said he had no knowledge of the visit with Kansas either.

While that story is kind of odd by itself, it seems that a similar situation may be occurring with Brandon Knight. Yesterday I received a text from a person who is very knowledgeable when it comes to the Knight-Kansas relationship, who told me that Knight’s prior reported “Late Night in the Phog” visit may not be happening. This person felt that if Knight didn’t make the Late Night visit, he may not make a visit to Kansas at all. As far as not making the visit at all goes, we’ll have to wait and see, but JayHawkSlant.com, the Kansas Rivals site, has now released an interview with Knight in which he confirms what was passed on to me, that the Late Night visit is in limbo.

It seems that Kansas might be putting the proverbial cart before the horse when it comes to these visits, or at least that seems to be the case with whoever is releasing news of these “confirmed” visits.

But then there’s also this bit of news: Brandon Knight’s previous in-home visit date of the 14th has been moved up to today (By the way, I went ahead and got this one confirmed myself). This makes me wonder if Bill Self’s visit with Knight didn’t go as well as planned and UK’s coaches might be moving in for kill? I guess we’ll have to wait and see…

Meanwhile, Stacey Poole’s home visit was also scheduled to occur today and, as far as I know, this remains unchanged. So today should be quite the busy one for the staff as they look to continue their work on the road, which has been pretty stellar up to this point. Coming up this weekend, the staff plans on welcoming both Poole and Knight to campus during their official visits, which also happens to be during the UK-UL football match up. That gives Cat fans a lot to look forward to.

Here’s some of the big events coming up in next couple of weeks:

September 13th: Stacey Poole & Brandon Knight (Home Visits)
September 15th: Josh Selby (Home Visit)
September 19th: UK-UL football game/Stacey Poole & Brandon Knight (Official Visits)
September 22nd: Terrence Jones (Home Visit)
September 25-27th: Adreian Payne (Official Visit)
