During his brief career as a Kentucky Wildcat, Brandon Knight was known for his intelligence, skill, and silky smooth perimeter jumper. But, he was perhaps most well known for his tenacious work ethic. While he moved along to greener NBA pastures after one season of play, his work ethic has apparently stayed with him in Detroit. Knight, along with two of his Piston teammates, recently attended a private instructional camp in Las Vegas that was not open to the public, media, or agents. The camp was run by former NBA assistant coach, Tim Grgurich, who instructed Knight, Greg Monroe, and Andre Drummond on some specifics of the game like ball screens and zone defense. After the camp, BattleCreekEnquirer.com caught up with Knight and asked him why he and his teammates chose to participate. Given his hard working reputation his response was typical Brandon Knight.
“We have a lot of guys working hard, we added a lot of new pieces, and I’m just confident in what we’re going to be able to do this year, We have a lot of guys who are hungry, and I know myself and the other guys are tired of having lackluster performances. We’re just ready to have a good season.”
Just in case you had forgotten about Knight, here’s a little refresher.
