Bobby Perry and three fellow UK fans are in Dallas for Monday Night Football and they made the most of their field access in Cowboys Stadium. Bobby better be careful, we all know what happens when you do that pose on the star. How ’bout some notes?
— We’ll lead off with great news for basketball recruiting. Alex Poythress dropped Duke from his list so now he’s down to Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Memphis, and Florida. You have to like Kentucky’s odds with Duke out of the running. UK fans will love this kid in blue if that’s how his recruitment ends.
— Rashawn will be around soon with notes from today’s press conference but I’ll hit a few notes to hold you over. Let’s start with injuries, Collins Ukwu and Raymond Sanders will both miss the LSU game. Josh Clemons, Martavious Neloms, and Gene McCaskill are questionable.
— Freshman Mike Douglas will start at defensive end in place of Collins Ukwu. E.J. Fields and DeMarco Robinson will start alongside La’Rod King at wide receiver.
— Defensive tackle Mark Crawford will finally get to see the field after a career full of suspensions. Joker said they’re going to “cut him loose” and he’s very proud of the way Crawford has handled the suspensions. Those 340-pounds are a huge addition to the defensive line. I’m looking forward to seeing him out on the field.
— The Boston Herald says it’s going to take about $8 million/year for the Bills to keep Stevie Johnson. Stevie Got Loot???
— Tubby Smith will be at Georgetown College tonight for “Conversations with Champions” with Billy Reed. The event is free and it begins at 7:30. You should go.
— I was in studio for today’s radio show that included a biblical discussion and the highly anticipated debut of The Two Drews. Take a listen…
