Blow a kiss to Rod Blagojevich Jr. and listen to the postgame show

The dreaded ‘first road game’ curse is over for the No. 1 Cats and they’re ready to move on to LSU on Saturday. But before we can close the book on the Jo’Ja Bulldogs, Matt Jones has an hour on the radio to fill and he has requested that you listen. It’d be really cool if you called in, too: (502) 571-8484.

The postgame show will be starting soon on WHAS 840 in Louisville and 630 WLAP in Lexington.

No radio? No sweat. We got your Internet stream right here.

Go Cats.

Thank you, Matt! Brian from Little Rock has always been negative. He used to call the old post game call in show before your show started on wlap. He has to be a very miserable person.

I wish I called in after Brian instead of right before him. I would have tossed some form of an insult his way.

Matt, you were 8 in 1986 right? King Rex was the real deal at UK. Delk was good, but regardless if he only played 2 yrs at UK and Delk played 4 yrs, Rex was better than Tony. Sorry.

Yes, Rex was a lot better than Tony Delk. He could do a lot of things on the offensive end that Tony couldn’t.

Terrence Jones currently has 820 points in his career. Last season he scored 595 points. This season he has scored 220 points.

He only needs to score 180 more points which would make his sophomore season points 400. A full 195 points less than last season.

I think it’s safe to say Terrence Jones will join the 1,000 point club in only two seasons at Kentucky.

Matt, why do you think Cal would leave for the Knicks? They have a lousy roster, and a crazy owner. They had a good GM, but the owner ran him off. It would take many years before they were capable of winning a title, and Cal said he doesn’t want to coach into his 60s. I just don’t see the upside of going to the Knicks. He knows how the NBA is, and it’s a players’ league, not coaches’.

Matt is being silly if he thinks Cal would even consider the Knicks at this point. He doesn’t understand what motivates JC if he thinks that. Our coach wants to remove the perceptions about him and prove he is one of the best college coaches in the game. He is finally at a place where he can become a HOF coach and win multiple championships. He is not going to leave until he accomplishes that. As Aretha says, it is called RESPECT. Cal wants it badly.

I do not see any way Coach Cal would go to the NBA without winning at least 1 NCAA title. He has been too close and too good to want to be a coach that never won a title.
