Billy Gillispie on his way out at Texas Tech

Deadspin is reporting that Texas Tech will fire basketball head coach Billy Gillispie as soon as it can legally do so.

The Family and Medical Leave Act prevents Gillispie from being fired while on his sick leave. Texas Tech athletic director Kirby Hocutt is reportedly simply waiting for the moment when Gillispie’s dismissal can be legally executed before giving coach the axe.

What a shame, the man can recruit and knows basketball, but he has some sort of head problem.

I feel bad for the kids. They trusted a school to protect them and once again BCG was invited in to abuse the kids. UK should have been a warning to TT but they failed to listen. I hope TT and the student athletes sue him for big money for intentional bodily harm and failure to comply with NCAA guidelines.

Matt Jones is simply throwing mud by continuing to run Bully G Thug stories over and over and over. I know Jones is a businessman and wants internet “hits” but this is getting really low class.

There is plenty of Kentucky, SEC and national sports stories out there. Who gives a “bleep” about this LOSER

17-Go to any of the websites that are running stories about BCG and you will see that half the people commenting are UK fans. Matt knows this. He knows UK fans are interested in this story and want to know how it is going to end. Don’t worry, it will be over with soon enough, at least as soon as the coward gets up the courage to return to work.

Seven T, you sir, are an idiot. Billy G is national sporting news at the moment, and will never be relevant in basketball ever again. Did you know he USED to be at UK and that he about destroyed the place? Of all the nonsense that appears here on a daily basis, how is this not worthy?

Given that Bobby Knight and his son were the ones who publicly pushed for BG to be hired, now work with me, won’t ESPN please get it that this means Knight’s judgement is laughable and fire him as an analyst. I know that since they won’t put him on Kentucky games I don’t have to listen to him much, but when I do it’s still painful.
