Billy G ordered to 30 days of no stress

Billy Gillispie says his doctors have ordered him to 30 days free of stress to lower his high blood pressure. He’s currently on indefinite sick leave from Texas Tech following two hospital stays in the last three weeks. Gillispie checked himself into the University Medical Center on August 31, the day he was supposed to meet with athletic director Kirby Hocutt, and then he spent another four days at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota last week.

Associate head coach Chris Walker is handling the basketball coaching duties at Tech while Billy G focuses on his health.

The “30 days free of stress” should postpone his firing for another month.

So I picture Billy reflecting on his driving around Lexington, trying to hide from getting fired. He recalls what a disaster that was. So he devises a plan that might work. “I’ll get a doctor to tell them not to fire me!”

Billy and his bogus Doctor milking the TT pot for all it’s worth. Can’t blame him. This will be the last paycheck he will ever earn in sports.

Why are you guys focusing on the tiara- when the brunette on the left is smoking hot! I’m sure Billy made the most of his stay here with all those coeds running around.

Another physician chiming in to agree with #1. Looks like he basically went to Mayo to get a fancy doctor’s note from the concierge quality medicine they practice there for the upper class.

What he did to the players at TT and UK…awful. Is he a bad person and coach? Yes.

Is this hilarious? You bet. I’ve seen a lot of excuses for avoiding work, never have I seen someone work this hard to avoid getting fired. It’s almost admirable.

Billy Clyde is the George W. Bush of basketball – able to profit at others’ expense – which brings to mind my disdain for coaches and presidents from Texas. The only “stress-free” environment this man has known was inside a bottle or a co-ed.
