Bill Clinton Meets with the UK Team
As the news trickles out, today seems to be becoming “All Clinton Everything” here. The latest is this post from John Calipari about the team’s visit today with Bill Clinton. In it, he talks about Clinton meeting with the team, noting how much Calipari has aged and giving this quote about UK and the country:
“Problems in the world and problems in the United States can only be solved by teamwork. That’s it. This team has taught us the lesson that the higher the mountain, the more the team must be connected.”
All in all, it is a good read from John Calipari and the picture is notable as it may be the first time I have ever seen the entire set of players smiling together in one picture. Happy times for all

Come on folks, Clinton inherited a revived economy from the 12 prosperous years of Reagan/Bush, who, by the way, turned around the worst economy since the great depression. That economy was authored by Jimmy Carter, the worst president in the history of the country. Reagan turned things around by drastically lowering taxes across the board and allowing companies to invest their money in technology and employees. By the time Clinton had left office, his persistent tax raising had drained the economy of any momentum, and Bush 43 inherited a sluggish economy that only got more difficult with the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Yet, remarkably, Bush 43 managed to lower taxes and revive the economy which produced unemployment rates in the mid 4s for a great deal of his presidency, despite an uncooperative Democratic Congress. Now, we get a president who has revived the policies of the Carter and Clinton eras, and look where we are – social policies draining the economy, raised taxes, uncontrolled socialism and unemployment rates near 10%. Now you tell me who’s good for the country? I don’t understand why more people don’t see it…

63 Fox views did a great job on you. Reagan raised taxes 11 times while he was in office. This trickle down economy that only seems to trickle up was part of his doing too. As for Clinton not declaring war every time something happened might be why they waited until Bush was in, got the exact response they wanted.
