University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

Big Blue Nation, get to work…

It’s time to roll up those sleeves and go to work, Cats fans.

ESPN.com has a new “Pledge Your Allegiance” online contest to see which school can get the most love from its fans, and your University of Kentucky Wildcats are losing. They’re losing by a lot. Like, a whole lot.

Penn State is in the lead (I’m not going there) with a commanding lead. The Nittany Lions have 43,516 “pledges,” to Texas A&M’s 26,998 and Missouri’s 13,180. Kentucky only has 1,523.

We’re down by 42,000, but if there’s anything I know about Kentucky fans, it’s that we’re not out.

Let’s get to work.

C-A-T-S. Cats. Cats. Cats.

Have to love a place where the more little boys are touched, the more the fanbase cheers them on.

Of the basketball programs, both Kansas and North Carolina are beating us.

ESPN polls are pointless! As a Cat fan, I could not give 2 craps less about the ACC homer network’s polls. I’d say others avoid ESPN as well or the BBN would have this poll blown up!

If this poll was done in March it would be completely different. Probably 90% of UK fans do not look at poll questions on ESPN in August.

#2 – they didn’t beat us on the court so who cares

Well, we are putting a dent in this thing. About to top 2300 and we are on top of UNC.

Thx Drew and I’d recommend we post this poll every day to remind those who want to.

Wow. Just voted and looked at poll. Waited 30 seconds and hit refresh. 10 votes had come in in 30 seconds. Power of Big Blue Nation. And you can vote numerous times. So lets get to work. We are jumping up the rankings very fast.

Polls? Who needs stinking polls? UK is No.1 in the most important poll. The one that says No. 1 with National Champions coming after it.

I doubt ESPN would ever let UK fans win anything like that. Also, when i voted, it said i had to wait until tomorrow to vote again.

My guess is this went out to every Penn St. student via their email system and everyone took some time to vote and possibly vote more than once. They have almost 100,000 students, so that would be easily feasible not even factoring in other fans and multiple voting.

    19) I didn’t try it but the way to multiple voting tends to be deleting cookies and revote and repeat this. If you hold down ctrl, shift, delete at the same time you can delete your cookies quickly.
