While the Cats are playing another game that makes me want to jump off a cliff, I thought I would mention that the best game of the day is not very far from many Kentucky fans. Tonight in Cincinnati, the number 1 and 2 high school teams in the nation are playing each other as Orange Hill of Cincy (home of OJ Mayo and Bill Walker) are playing Oak Hill Academy (home of a lot of great guys) for the unofficial national title. Over 16,000 people are expected at US Bank Arena to watch the contest.
One reason this is great is that Bob Gibbons, who has been doing recruiting for 30 years, said to me three months ago that OJ Mayo and Michael Beasley (who plays for Oak Hill) are two of the ten best players he has ever seen at this time in their career. And tonight they are on the same court, just outside of Kentucky. If I were you folks, I would try my hardest to be there.
