Being a basketball player doesn’t mean you can sing
Ever wonder what Alex Poythress and Archie Goodwin sound like baritone? What about Nerlens Noel’s pipes? Wonder no more, as a group of stars at the Jordan Brand Classic tried their hand at the classic “Be Like Mike” Gatorade commercial from the early 1990’s.
This was how it was supposed to sound. My advice to you fellas, is don’t quit your day jobs.
We’ll have more coverage throughout the day on the JBC where a lot of names connected to Kentucky will be playing. Stick around.

Sometimes….well….sometimes posts are just not……..just not meant to be umm…..posted.
😉
I miss the glass Gatorade bottles.
how can someone as good as shabazz come across as sooo nerdy?! he’s like a ballin’ steve urkel
3- you must be over 40
ha 29. Has it been that long since Family Matters?
How are you not gonna sing this song just because you’re at Duke. MJ is basketball royalty.
We can stick with our players. Bennett is expected to sign. I expect lamb to return as great surprise. I keep saying that he should not go-see draft express.
I think Teague can be a top ten pick if he stays another year, I met one of his aaa coaches and his game will blossom into one of a real scoring pt guard. We saw some of his abilities in the end of the tourney-can you imagine his game of driving to the bucket, mid range abiility, and in time a solid 3 point shot.
In all, I expect but Bennett and lamb and hoping for Teague. As well, we have great match up for practice and development such as Noel’s/cauley and Teague/harrow etc, etc
If this transpires, will have #9 and like to see teague as MOP in Catlanta
AAU coaches
big man Bennett break it down young fella
and #7 lamb isnt coming back, kid doesnt like being in school.. can’t blame him. be glad he came back last year.
7 – I have to think that 3rd pick in the 2nd round is a low-ball projection for Lamb at this point in time. That said, there is a very real chance he slips to Round 2, which may be enough to convince him to stay. You can still do something with a 2nd round selection though – just ask Jodie Meeks. I’m not sure another year would improve his stock significantly either since Noel, Poythress, Goodwin, and Bennett (maybe) could get most of the publicity. Here’s to hoping that Lamb comes back, shoots 50% from 3, leads us in scoring, and gets taken in the 2013 lottery!
Hasn’t this already been discussed, They’re gone.
12. Lots of chatter, from those actually in the know, that there is a real chance of someone unexpected coming back. Nobody is gone yet. No need to blast another person when you’re the one that doesn’t know what you’re talking about.
Wow, Shabazz’s voice is exactly what one would expect, right? Matches the look to a tee.
Noes = hilarious. I think he’s gonna be a character. Love it.
Well, looks like the Duke recruit has already been neutered and he’s not even on campus yet. What a squish.
-shabazz was born to be at duke & he doesnt even know it.
-clearly, when given the chance to be “like mike” or “like coach k” a top 20 b-ball player would pick the 5’11, over-the-hill white guy…..
be like Rivers, go to duke and win nothing..
Sulaimon can’t utter the words “be like Mike” cause of his Duke thang, but he has no problem sporting Jordan logo??? Hel-loooooo???!!
Is the JB Classic on tv, and what time?
#19 – Yep – All American game starts at 7 Eastern on ESPN.
does bazz’s voice get on anyone eles’s nerves??
