Beckham takes in practice

twany-beckham

Former Mississippi State and Ballard guard Twany Beckham is attending UK’s practice this afternoon as rumors continue to circulate that he could transfer to UK.  The situation will likely be resolved by the end of the week and if he ends up as a Cat, he would be eligible to play next spring.

Let them rank the Tards where they will. I foresee a losing streak in the near future.

There is NO reason to take this kid. If we need a scrub back up PG, take one from the state of Kentucky.

So would this guy be a walk-on or scholarship player next year if he decides to transfer to Kentucky?

I think he is considering a walk-on spot. I doubt a scholly will be given/available

Nice, id take a 3 star walk-on!! Maybe by the time he is a senior he could be our Preston Knowles, the kid has grit aside the problem he had this past summer….

If he’s joining as a walk-on (even preferred), then its a no-brainer. If he wants a scholly, Cal would have to decide.

people doubting the kid, maybe cal will turn him into star like Chris Douglas at Memphis…remember he was a 3 star two and look where he is at

  29. Here we go now
    4:54 pm January 17, 2011 Permalink

Give me a break. We have 10 total players & are only really playing 6 guys now. Yet some of you say we don’t need a KY Kid who plays guard. Cal knows the situation, so if he wants to take him as a walk on then more power to him. Let hime coach.

Need more bodies for practice if nohting else. Heck if 1 guy gets hurt or has to go the treadmill 🙂 we can’t play 5 v 5.

I bet Dick Stansbury LOVES the thought of losing a player to Kentucky. Douchebag. I hope they run him out of Starksville and he ends up coaching somewhere like Lindsey Wilson College, only an out of state version of Lindsey Wilson.
