    (JPS Note: The term ‘death penalty’ is used loosely by Byers in these memoirs in that the term did not exist at the time and the punishment Kentucky received was not nearly the same severity as the ‘Death Penalty’ which was devised decades later in the 1980s to deter schools from becoming repeat offenders. In the latter case, the Death Penalty called for the sports program to be disbanded completely, which in reality meant the coaches were fired, players dispersed etc. None of this happened at Kentucky. This fact has not deterred some from erroneously stating the Kentucky received the first death penalty.)

    Think about the media attention UNC would get if Harrison Barnes did that. Instead Harrison Barnes urinates on homeless people and the media turns their shoulder on it. Don’t question me, Roy Williams is my girlfriends great uncle.

    Lucky schools: Texas A&M and UCF. Miami/Pryor stuff allows Ags to go underground w SEC situation and UCF to avoid scrutiny for NCAA probe.” How about you hold other schools accountable Forde instead of picking on schools you have a agenda against?!!!

    You know what’s scary about college football? If you look at the last 10 BCS Championship games, in at least six of them a football program now in trouble for NCAA violations has been a participant. In one year (2002) both of those team are now in hot water. Could be a 7th game added if Auburn or Oregon end up in the same boat. Makes you wonder if there truly are any powerhouse teams anymore that aren’t cheating their way to the top.

    BREAKING NEWS: University of Louisville football practice was delayed nearly two hours today after a player reported finding an unknown white powdery substance on the practice field. The coach immediately suspended practice while police were called to investigate. After a complete analysis, experts determined that the white substance unknown to players was the GOAL LINE.
