Wait, you’re saying the Wear Twins don’t want to be a part of this? Maybe they’re smarter than I thought…
In what will be a blow to any program they end up at, the Wear twins are transferring from UNC. The highly touted McDonalds All American brothers struggled to find playing time this season for a terrible North Carolina team, though they are officially citing ‘geographic challenge’ as the reason for the transfer. I wouldn’t be able to live in North Carolina, either. Prior to playing for Roy, the twins were considering UCLA and Arizona, two teams that were also awful this past season, and two teams they are now reconsidering.
Of course, there is an outside chance the twins end up at Kentucky. Assuming that Orton stays in the draft, Jones commits to Washington for the second time, Calipari goes to Chicago, the recruiting class disbands, and Jorts gets promoted to coach. Or, you know, as a part of the JV team. No matter whose bench they’re riding the next couple years, today we mourn, for we have lost one more thing to make fun of the tarheels about.
Still no word on if – now that they are no longer going to UNC – their McDonalds All American status has been stripped. As soon as we know, we will let you know. Stay tuned.
