Pictures above taken by a fan at the event
It is one in the morning and I am beat from one of the longest days that I can remember. It began at 5:30 am with an earthquake shaking my room and waking me up in a panic and ended with the long drive along the Western Kentucky parkway in the middle of the night. In the middle however was a great day of experiences, ranging from seeing middle school girls cry at the sight of Joe and Ramel at their school assembly to seeing Woo get into an argument at a Hopkinsville steakhouse with a man who insisted that Louisville was the best school in Kentucky. All in all, a very stellar day.
The event itself was good….I thank the folks at Hoptown for coming out on a dreary night and we hope they enjoyed the event (in which the UK guys beat the 2nd Region all stars 103-79.) I must turn in as we get up bright and early and head to Hillbilly Days in Pikeville, so rest is a must….but I will say this….a day in a car with Ramel, Joe, Woo, Ramel’s album publicist (yes you read that correctly) and their friend, as we hit the streets of the Western Kentucky Parkway and Hopkinsville does produce some good stories. If you smell a good blog entry tomorrow night after Pikeville, then you are correct my friend….
Until then, sleep time….
