Avery Williamson wants a piece of Teddy

Teddy Bridgewater is one of the two or three best quarterbacks Kentucky will face all season — along with Georgia’s Aaron Murray and Tyler Wilson at Arkansas — and Avery Williamson can’t wait to put his pads on him. Kentucky’s middle linebacker, a first-time starter, wants to send an early message to the Cardinals, specifically Teddy.

”Ooo, I’d love to hit Teddy,” Williamson told Adam Lefkoe earlier today. “Gotta take that shot. Let him know how physical it’s going to be.”

Senior defensive end Collins Ukwu expects Williamson to have a breakout season. He said on Friday that he’s “shocked” by how quickly Williamson has developed.

I guess we’ll see for ourselves on Sunday.

Keep an eye on the guy looking to knock Bridgewater’s head off. He’s #40.

Teddy one of the 2 or 3 best QBs will face all season? Does the season end next weekend?

#1 – remember last year, we were looking to take another one from UL until we knocked that little red headed QB out of the game and Teddy came in. Totally changed the game plan from a short QB that can not move outside the pocket to an Athletic QB that can make plays with his feet. At least this year we will have the correct game plan!

I am no Louisville fan, can’t stand them. But, you have to give Teddy credit, he is as good a quaterback as we are going to see this year. Others are good also, but he is a good one. Now, KNOCK HIS ASS OFF AND PUT HIM DOWN.

LOL. How are you going to talk trash about hitting a QB when you have recorded zero sacks in your UK career? #clown

    Teddy credit? For What?

  6. Is it football season?????
    12:59 pm August 27, 2012 Permalink

This is the problem with UK footballl. We got a kid like this who has done absolutely nothing talking smack. We need leaders our leaders to be doing the talking. Not some kid who probably will not see the field for a few plays at best. You show what you can do first, then talk yourself up.

Personally, I like this kid’s swag. Let him get pumped up and talk the talk. Maybe he performs better with the pressure he has placed on himself. You can criticize him all you want after the game, but come on…… BACK the BLUE!!!!!! Geez

Maybe we’ll see him do the TB what Taylor Wyndham did to Tebow, though I don’t want to see anyone really get hurt, but knocked out of the game would be good.

    Andy Murray=tennis
    Aaron Murray=UGA QB

Teddy Bridgewater was a 5 star recruit out of Miami and is pretty darn good. However, this UL team lost to FIU and Marshall and NC State last year.

This is not Bama or LSU or even UGA.

Kentucky can clearly win this game if there are no turnovers. Sure would make things better for Joker

6-You obviously haven’t been keeping up with what has been going on this summer. Williamson has been the vocal leader on the defense, he is the starter at linebacker. Joker and Minter have been singing his praises all summer and you think he “will not see the field for a few plays at best”. He apparently has been showing what he can do all spring and summer and read post 7.

#6, Williamson has played in nearly every game since coming here and is a budding star. And no, the problem with UK football isn’t kids saying they’d like to hit the opposing QB (I sure hope they’d say that), it’s ignorant people like you clogging and polluting our fanbase.

More realistic, is Avery being the top 2 or 3 linebacker the cards will face.

You are a joke of a fan. “Not some kid who probably will not see the field for a few plays at best”….he’s a starter… and actually will probably see every play….

Teddy was arguably the best freshman QB in the country last year and Williamson has zero career sacks, so let’s not get too carried away by giving UL more bulletin board material.

Remember a month or so ago amidst all the trash talking on twitter and the UK players said they were “going to their talking on the field”?? Then they proceed to put out a quote like this every few days about the game.
    UL 31
    UK 13

hes talking trash to a qb who came in as a true freshman and threw all over uk. this guy has zero career sacks…ZERO. UL will do THEIR talking on the field, and all these uk players will only fuel the cards, as well as a fanbase that is actually positive about the way their program is headed. i look for teddy to pick on him when his slow ass drops back in coverage.
