“I’d go with the Escalade EXT.”
Darryel Mayes, the father of Arizona recruit Jordin Mayes, believes the recruiting practice of Coach Cal will do him more harm than good. Mayes views Calipari as the opposite of Sean Miller, who signed the three-star guard.
Papa Mayes had this to say about Calipari:
“You have to ask yourself, ‘Why did Kentucky hire Calipari? They hired him to win national championships. That’s why they are paying him all that money ($31.65 million over eight years). So knowing that, what good did it do him to recruit all these guys who left after one year? How far did it get him this year? It didn’t get him a national championship. I think knowing that, I’d say his first year there was a failure, wouldn’t you?”
No, Darryel, I wouldn’t say that. Since when is it a failure to not win a title? I’d say you’re just upset because Coach Cal didn’t recruit your son. I’m sure Jordin Mayes would’ve jumped all over the opportunity to play for Kentucky if they had offered. Unfortunately for Jordin, Calipari only recruits the best of the best.
Watch your mouth, Pops.
