University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

Archie loves you, but you’re gonna have to pay for his autograph

archie-glasses

Archie Goodwin has tweeted more in the past 24 hours than in all of his time at Kentucky. Earlier tonight, Archie tweeted that he will be making an appearance at Lexington Sports Cards this Saturday from 7 to 8 p.m., which is nice, but the all-knowing Oscar Combs points out that their website is taking preorders for his autographs, which means that Archie will longer be an amateur nor have the option of coming back.

But, he still loves you:

I think that’s his final answer. Thank you, Archie.

That being said. I don’t blame him for making the decision to go pro. Ca did his job and encouraged him to stay. that’s all we could ask of him. I don’t know if I would be charging loyal fans money for my autograph but who am I too judge. 🙂

And don’t think all of BBN are like some of these douchbags. Yeah,..I’m sure your detractors would pass up on a chance to enter a weak draft,..as compared to coming back to share time with a team full of 5 stars and actually go much later in the 2014 draft. Yeah,..sure. You da man, Archie. If only the rest of last year’s team were like you and Nerlans,..and a couple others. Shame on you, Mrs. Tyler.

36 again this is a adult world. Not peewee league basketball when you clap when a child bounces a ball off his foot out of bounds. Playing at UK puts the spotlight on you when you are playing good or bad, or if making good or bad personal decisions. Part of the problem with these big time athletes is they have people that tell them only what they want to hear from 8th grade and up. This is a forum for opinions and to think yours is better and should be the only one heard is arrogant. Say what you want and let others do the same.

Mrs. Tyler,…seemed a bit sarcastic to me. Maybe I read it wrong. Sorry. But some of these turdwhacker fans don’t deserve players with Archie’s big heart. He’ll be fine. He made a smart move,…. putting his name in this weak draft. He was the first one of this class to make a commitment to Cal. And he played his heart out,..unlike some of the others. (Reminds me of some of the crap Terrence Jones had to put up with,..and he only helped take us to a Final Four and a Championship). Fickle dimwitted fans. Oh well. 29) Glad to see there is someone with some common sence. Archie might have made freshman mistakes but you cant question his hart! This kid played his ass off for the same ones who are bashing him on here now.
No body on here knows Archie. His family might be poor and need the money now? who knows. If he chose to come back it would have been for 2 more years. he might not have been able to wait that long. Everybody on here would go play in the D-league for a million dollars. How can anybody say this is a bad choice. guess some will be bashing Nerlens when he declares later this week too?

  65. Archie Fan

You are kidding yourselves if you think Archie should come back. He’s going to dominate in the pre-draft workouts against the clowns from Lehigh and Georgia that he will be up against.

If you want a good example of why you leave when you get the chance, look at CJ Leslie. He stayed to “develop his game” and “compete for a league championship.” Now he’s a junior staring the second round in the face. He was top 15 after his freshman year. Instead of going into his third year of a guaranteed contract in the NBA, he’s going to have to try-out for a spot on an NBA roster and hope he does well in the D-League.

He might eventually make it to an nba roster if he improves a lot but I think he has no confidence in his game to not come back to UK and will leave since this is a very weak draft. IMO should have got a degree or be very smart with the money he makes being drafted because at this point he is no were near nba ready

Archie would have to pay me to ask for his autograph. We’ll be hiring at Kroger next year Archie!

Why would I want his autograph? Ten dollars is the most I would pay for anyone except Noel who is worth the 40 or 50!

I have despised Goodwin all year and I am glad he is gone. We need players who want to play as a team and Archie was never a team player. How many times this year was he passed the ball and never gave it up? Too many to count and for that reason alone, I wish him best wishes in the D-league.

An easy way, fun to get UK players autographs (if you a kid) is by going to the UK basketball camp. I have the whole Wall Team’s autographs, all of the 2011 final four team except Enes, the entire national championship team, and all of this years team except Nerlens, and unfortunately, the 2 Billy G. teams
