Archie Goodwin said it’s going to be hard for UK to lose next year

Archie Goodwin took a break from combining to have a little chat with Andy Katz in front of ESPN’s cameras this afternoon. When asked about his thoughts on next year’s Wildcats, Goodwin told him, “They’re gonna be a tough team to deal with next year. They have a lot of talent coming in along with the guys that came back this year, so it’s going to be hard for them to lose next year. And I’ll be rooting for them the whole way.”
Archie also said he still sees himself at two-guard in the NBA but he’s open to moving to point if that’s what a team needs him to do.
Cats.

The university of and its fans will be rooting for you too Archie.
*Kentucky
Except for the redneck fans who hate him
LMFAO…….A point guard with no handle and can’t shoot…….LMFAO
Archie seems like a classy young man, unlike the small portion of fans that are against him.
I’m not a basketball coach by no means, but I’m pretty sure a point guard passes the ball.
Anybody who thinks they can beat Kentucky next year is delusional, right Archie?
Thanks for the props, Archie. Good luck with the draft, and find someone to help you get some arch in that shot!
People who want to throw stones need to realize – this guy is only 18 YEARS OLD!! Tell me how mature most of us were at 18! Sounds like a lot of us never matured much past that age.
Go forth…do good things…make them eat those feet.
Did anybody notice what Goodwin said in the video? When asked why did he jump to the NBA one of the reasons he gave was that he felt a lot more comfortable were he was at than at UK…. That is an interesting comment in itself.
In other news, Archie Goodwin announces that the sky is blue
People (like BlueRedNeck) who have a problem with others holding 18 year olds accountable for things they say need to go take a second look at the laws and criteria associated with being an adult. Especially an adult who hopes to have a future in the public eye and make millions playing basketball…
1 and 5 – well said. Good luck Archie! BBN behind you all the way!
Archie at the point? Lmao!! Sounds like a move Charlotte would make
NOTDerby is NOTclassy.
The only move he’s gonna be making is to Lithuania.
Why is it when guys like Wiltjer, Poythress or Goodwin underachieve the blame is put on the players, but when players at other schools like Shabazz or Selby underachieve BBN blames the coaching?
18-Why ask why?
I feel bad for Archie.
I hope you get it going in your direction Archie and everything works out for you. Best of luck
First off, the idea that 18 = kid is pathetic. 18-year-olds go overseas and die for our country every day. If you can’t take a little criticism then you shouldn’t play for a school like UK. Secondly, of course he said he’d be more comfortable in the NBA… there’s no accountability for “TEAM”. In the NBA you can be an individual player and make millions and drive the ball as much as you want. Of course, in the NBA you risk losing your job when you play that way. Thirdly, let’s get real here… did any of you watch Goodwin play? He was a selfish player. Period. He drove the ball in constantly, fouled perpetually, and missed more shots than he hit when he did this. Potential to be a good player? Absolutely. Do I hope he will be? Absolutely. But his reputation as a selfish player in his time at UK isn’t going to go away. It’s what he was… it’s what he always will have been.
