Anthony Davis wins another award

Anthony Davis has won the John R. Wooden Award as the most outstanding player in the country. Davis is the first player from Kentucky to win the honor and the second freshman. If he wins the Naismith Award, then he will have swept all six major player of the year awards.

Congrats to Anthony! Celebrate with a win tonight!

People were saying that this would be the most difficult one for him to win because it slightly takes into account off the court stuff. With this one in the bag, it would probably be surprising if he didn’t get a sweep.

Has he won the NABC one yet, though?

Pretty sure he’s only won 4 out of 6 so far.

AD deserves all of them, but I have a feeling he will get screwed on the Naismith Award.

Rupp Award, Oscar Robertson Award, USBWA Award, AP POY, John R Wooden… Naismith is all that is left.

Yeah, I think 12 is right, the NABC hasn’t come out yet, he’s won 4 out of 6. Still, he’s SWEPT ALL of them so far, and I think he’s got a good shot at all of them.

Even if he doesn’t get any more, he’s got the majority. First time in UK History! Finally! Congrats Davis, and congrats the rest of the team for helping make this happen!

    19) I do feel a little bad for the fans of other teams that travel and find themselves in the minority. It’s not their fault their fanbase as a whole cares less than ours does.
