Anthony Davis Selected To Mcdonald All American Team?

The nominations have been made, and while the official rosters haven’t been announced yet (or decided on according to their website,) it looks like the McDonalds people have been contacting players to check their availability to play in the upcoming high school allstar game.  Kentucky commit (and number 1-2 prospect in the nation depending on your recruiting service of choice) Anthony Davis posted his confirmation on twitter earlier today.

AntDavis23:  Just been selected to play in the Mickey D’s game… #yessir

Yes sir indeed.  The game is slated for March 30th and I think it’s probably safe to assume that Davis will be joined by fellow Kentucky commits Teague and Gilchrist, with a strong possibility Wiltjer makes it too.  Anyone wanna make a mid week greyhound trip to Chicago?

this is a game teague will shine in. Im from Indy and he doesnt try at Pike High, he waits till AAU and all star games to showcase his skills. He may set an assist record in McDs game

Looks like a few of us from the Memphis area are looking at making the trip, we should all meet and walk in together with all of our UK gear on to make our numbers appear far superior to others. The Shock and Awe of the Blue Mist Lives!

5 – he’s having a great senior season. I think you could say that about his last few seasons, but his whole mindset has changed. Knows he needs to be a leader to succeed.

Four UK players starting the McDonald’s All-American game would not really be that impressive. There were actually six former UL basketball players working the drive-thru at McDonald’s for the lunch rush today! L yea!!!

I never doubted that Anthony Davis would be a McDonald’s All American. The best thing about him is that IMHO, he has more potential for improvement than any other top 10 recruit. Can you say Sam Bowie 2.0?

was there really any doubt about this? Teague, or Gilchrist either? Wiltjer, we’ll wait and see. Would be great if he did make it though. Anyone ever have 4 McD recruits in one class?
    I know we had 3 …
