One of the most powerful running backs in the Midwest may be making a blue decision soon. Rumors are surfacing that Mikel Horton will make his decision this weekend while participating at a Rivals Camp. Horton has been a primary target for the UK coaching staff, visiting campus on 3 separate occasions including last weekend’s Blue/White game. The Lakota West star is an important cog in developing the Ohio recruiting pipeline. If Stoops can add this ‘Ohio Boy’, watch for other top-players to follow.

That’s a Tweet from 4-Star QB prospect Drew Barker to fellow 4-star players. Jaleel Hytchye and Thaddeus Snodgrass have already committed to UK.

 

Normally you don’t describe a power-runner as ‘smooth’, but this guy makes it look easy on the football field. He runs with his shoulders low to the ground, enabling him to run you over in the trenches, or spin off of you in the open-field. His size cannot be taken for granted either. Josh Clemons is the largest, and most-impressive looking Running Back on the team, but he’s only 212 lbs. This guy is 228 and still has another year of High School to add muscle. If Horton decides to come to UK, I can’t imagine what Coach Korem will do to his athletic body.
