Another football recruit off the board

Another potential big name on UK’s football recruiting radar is no longer on the board as four-star tight end Alex Smith has committed to North Carolina. Smith, who originally gave a verbal to Cincinnati, visited UK for the Governor’s Cup game and was a name Rob Gidel mentioned in his MAFF as a possible guest for the UK-UNC basketball game in December. Now, it appears that the 6’5″ 260 pound Ohio native has chosen to be on the losing end of that game.
