Jabari Parker and Julius Randle share Jordan Brand MVP honors

Julius Randle and Jabari Parker were named the co-players of the game for the Jordan Brand Classic game tonight. Randle was extremely impressive with 19 points and 6 rebounds tonight, leading many to call him one of the best (if not the best) player on the court tonight. Wiggins played a great game too, also finishing with 19 points.

Stuart Hammer will be back with a little more from the game in just a short while…

From what I’ve seen, Randle is a better player than Wiggins! He has the body of T.Jones and the motor of Gilchrist. Kids a beast! Sure glad he’ll be wearing blue this year!!!! Go Cats!!!

Seeing how Wiggins plays with Kentuckys commits makes me like our chances of landing him even more. Either way, 9 is next year.

I think Wiggins now knows the type of play UK will play next year along with the type of players and that they will win, too bad they didn’t win tonight. Hopefully, it was the last game they lose until they go to the NBA.

Kentucky recruits dominated this game! Randle is going to be a beast with some college level coaching. I love the athleticism of Wiggins.. The way he lays it up and stretches out over people just looks so simple. If he came to Kentucky and had to compete for playing time and was disciplined to play every possession, he will be ridiculous!

Kentucky Players playing HARD. Jimmy Dykes said 4 freshman and WCS start. Poythress and Wiljer come off bench. Poythress will finally find out what it’s like to play 24/7 365 starting whenever Randle shows for summer school.

Are we sure it wasn’t randle and Parker haha because who cares!!All I know is I loved it when James young ripped the ball from wiggins it was anther uk add for all to witness I love it!! The look in randles eyes was that of a killer! I also liked when the big guy set a screen (illigal) on Harrison they teamed up on him and went straight after him on both offense and defense!!

I think Jimmy Dykes developed a bit of a mancrush on young Julius tonight. Can’t wait to hear the catchphrase he spends all summer dreaming up.

    23) Not a star on this year’s uofl team. Yet they managed to win it all. While our one and done machine, with all the all-americans got dropped in the first round on the NIT. We will have the higher draft picks though. So, there is that. Maybe this crop of one and dones will be better.

People please. Just read the headline. Of course Randle and Parker were co MVPs. Wiggins was mentioned because of Catfans’ interest in his recruitment. Do you really give a $hit about the Duke commit’s numbers? I know I don’t. Besides, Randle was clearly the most dominant player in the second half. November can’t get here soon enough.

    25) Yet, our sorry team, with 5 burger boys and stein, couldn’t even make the weak dance. They managed to lose to someone named Robert Morris in the NIT. If the NCAA was this weak, it does not speak well to Cal or this UK team.

I’ve had dates that lasted longer than it took harrison to make a move! Great Line! They better learn to play quicker as a PG becuz if he cant adjust, the dream team goes down the drain with no good PG. Good ole Jarod will be leading the way again.

  48. Catlanta

    47) Sure, will do:

    1) Goodwin
    2) Harrow
    3) Poythress
    4) Noel
    5) Wiltjer

Stein was not a burger boy but would have been a lotto pick this year.

  49. theSkinny81
    12:32 am April 14, 2013 Permalink

48 – I’m pretty sure Harrow, Noel and Wiltjer were NOT McD’s AA’s… Noel couldn’t be because of his reclassification (I think), but regardless, he suffered a season-ending injury. If we had Noel healthy, we make the tourney.

But it’s cool. Hopefully your Cards can rebuild in another 13 years and capture another title in a historically down year in college basketball. The right way.

Twins, Randle and Wiggins played together with the CUSE pg for last 5 minutes. Were up 2 or 3 when they all started together and ended up losing by 4. Some of it was showtime playing, which really bothers me in a tied game with less than 2 mins to go. But still they lost lead and game against people their own age.
On plus side if they get to work together for 35-40 games they will be SCARY good with or without Wiggins. Can’t wait till we see em all in KY Blue.
