Andrew Wiggins #1 in 2014

I think now is a pretty good idea to start talking about recruiting the class of 2014. ESPNU has released their Terrific 25 fro 2014 and sitting atop the list is Andrew Wiggins. Wiggins is a 6’7 small forward from Toronto and he is high on John Calipari’s wish list. This is what ESPNU has to say about their new #1:
Strengths:
Andrew is very skilled and very athletic young wing. He’s a long, skilled perimeter player who can play the 2, 3 or 4. It’s his physical talent that makes him stand out right now. He has range to 22 feet, can score off the dribble or slash to the hoop. He has all the tools to be special.Weaknesses:
Unfortunately, he does not play hard all the time and he lacks toughness. He does compete when he’s challenged but he doesn’t walk on the floor and expect to dominate yet.Bottom Line:
Andrew could easily be the top player in the 2014 class whether he’s in Canada or the U.S. All the tools are there to be great because he is so physically imposing at such a young age. His father played in the NBA.
Sounds like a Canadian who would look good in blue and white.

We want a guy who doesn’t play hard? We already have Darius Miller.
He looks like Jodie Meeks clone.
#2 – I thought it was a Meeks picture from a few years ago at first.
If he comes to UK, I want to be the first to suggest the nickname “Ender.” Besides, wouldn’t it be great to hear Rob Bromley say, “Tonight sure was Ender’s game.”?

Wow. The kid is only 15…. When I was a freshman in high school I was young and stupid too. Give him a couple of years and he’ll realize just how good he is and get his act together. He’ll be a serious competitor by his senior year…3 yrs from now. But he is already a serious talent.
And yes, I know the fictional character’s last name is Wiggin, but close enough.
they look like they have UK jeseys on..
This kid is the bomb. He might have been the best player at the recently concluded Adidas Nations tournament that featured a big chunk of the top 2012 and 2013 talent, and he just turned 16.
People wonder who the next Kobe, LeBron, etc. will be? Well, Wiggins is one of the top candidates. He’s a freakazoid athlete, he has great ballhandling skills, and though some criticize his jumper, he makes shots, including 3’s. He has that look about him of a kid who was just born to be an NBA HOF player.
He’s headed to Huntington Prep, and there’s almost no question he’ll be a Cal/UK target.
^^
Make that Nike Global Challenge, not Adidas. Either way, Wiggins led Canada to the finals, and was the International MVP for the tourney.
Very athletic for a somebody just finished freshmen year. He would fit perfect in the dribble drive, seems to dribble the ball high a.k.a liggins.
It’s Julius Campbell
It would freaking rule to have Ender Wiggin on our team…read the book Ender’s Game some time.
You’re a super star, that is what you are. Comin from afar, reachin for the stars, run away with me, to another place, we can rely on each other uh huhhhh

Why is there a kid on that list going to IU? Why do that to yourself?
