John Calipari may have just constructed the most dangerous team in all of college basketball history if everything plays out right. And you haters were hatin’ on him yesterday. GO CATS!!!
Seriously guys, take a deep breath. Archie, Ryan, Alex, etc were supposed to keep our “dynasty” going too. I hope this group are world-beaters, but can we PLEASE let them – I dunno – PRACTICE TOGETHER a few times before we assume they are the 2nd coming of the Olympic Dream Team?
Sheesh. You’d think after last night we’d be a bit more pragmatic…
Fair-weather fans can piss and moan all they want about some of our current players; however, I am JACKED about the idea of those guys returning with the incoming class. I think you will see HUGE improvements from this year’s team now that there will be more competition during practices.
Gotta love Cal’s style, less than 24 hours after the dismal season that was The Keystone Cats, the whole country is talking about Big Blue in a tones of awe and fear
With our returning players, And the young guns, with hard work and a team first mentality (we should have learned that this year) we will be very good by the end of next season.
#26….that’s EXACTLY what I’ve been saying to folks. They are still going to be FRESHMAN, no different than this bunch this season. While they may be more talented, mentally they’re still 17/18 yr old boys….that will have so much RockStar status thrown on them immediately it could drown them…OR they could be World beaters.
Does appear the incoming do have a little chip on their shoulders and wil play like warriors. The will be a big time upper from the downer and disgrace of this year. Also hope Poy, Harrow, and Wusstjer move on or are given pink slips.
Just figured out what N.I.T. means — Nine in Texas, as in NCAA Basketball Title Number 9 in Dallas, TX. Or it could be Nine in Thirteen, Title Number 9 in thirteen months!
#40, you and I are the only ones who are looking at this rationally, apparently. Like you I HOPE they are as good as advertised, but you’re right, these are BOYS. They will have to work hard to become MEN on the basketball court. Here’s hoping they do it and we hang another banner.
15 players and 13 scholarships available. I get that Polson would return to a walk-on status, but who else would lose a scholarship if for some reason everyone decides to come back? And what about Wiggins and Gordon…what if they, or one of them decided Lexington would be their home next season?
46, after last night we all have to have something to be happy about. It’s not everyone’s already writing #9 down, but it damn sure gives everyone’s disappointment from last night a little less sting to it today. Don’t rain, just be happy. Not that you were raining, but lets give today a little more something to be happy about…..GO CATS!
Culver, Harrow likely won’t be back. Noel is going pro. Sign Wiggins and Polson walks on (no way Wiggins and Gordon go to the same school; they play the same position). Problem solved.
#50. Noel is leaving. He’ll still be a top 5 pick, I’d love to have him back, but it’s not happening. Polson will be a walk on again, Harrow might transfer, and Hood might as well just so he can actually play.
Can we have a “Kentucky A team” and “Kentucky B team” to give some chance to the other schools next year? I’d still pick Kentucky A and B to be 1 seeds in the tourney and meet up in the title game though.
I feel so much better than I did on Friday and last night. And rationally, if this team stays (except for Nerlens who is gone) one can only imagine the practices. Talk about spirited and heated. And how much better they will all be. I’m sure Coach Cal learned (or had to learn) something different about coaching and will take that with him in the fall. I was never ever down on him, just some of the players. I felt so sorry for him as he truly tried everything to get this team to just “play” as a “team” and for whatever reason, it did not work out. I have breathed a sigh of relief and can hardly wait for Big Blue Madness, then let the slaughter begin. GO CATS!
Noel is gone, I’d imagine Harrow is one as well…Polson will go back to walk on if we need the scholly…Didn’t Cal give Long or one of the others a Scholly this year???
If WCS comes back, and Archie along with the kids we have coming in UK will be a beast next year. I never thought this team would be that way after seeing the ESPN All Access because Cal kept calling them soft/weak. The twins have swagger, those kids always have the look on their face that they are ready to go and be the best on the floor…Randal is a straight up man, now Alex P. syndrome with him…All the other coaches just went on red alert this morning.
@50. Hood can graduate if he wants. He has one year of eligibility left and it may be worth coming back to be a part of a class with so much talent and potential. However, he already has a ring and I am sure morning practice is getting old.
Polston and Hood both graduate this May and wouldn’t be on scholarship anyway. They will play as graduate students. Schools don’t give athletic scholarships to graduate students. Their degrees will be in their pockets in May. Neither will give up a scholarship. They both plan to play so they can go thru senior night next year.
Polson will likely not have his scholarship renewed. Noel should not be accepted back. He is NBA ready. Cauley-Stein could take advantage of his stock (although his high stock is not universal; some mock drafts do not have him all that high). Hood would be a graduate student, on scholarship.
If two of those three are not on scholarship, we will be fine. If all three are off scholarship, then there is room for Wiggins.
I still think Noel and Willie Cauley-Stein will go. I believe the fact that we are looking at a weak draft will lead to pretty high projections for both of them. This may be the best oppurtunity for them in the draft, and you got to get paid when you can. I could see Nerlens Noel still going in the lottery and Cauley-Stein would not be that far behind.
81 Comments for Andrew Harrison says, “It’s over.”
they better hope to god wiggins doesnt come and Noel doesnt return.
Yes it is.
This is awesome!
#stellarseven
Who says the NBA isn’t coming to Kentucky.
he’s right. wiggins, come on down.
So hyped about this kids, bunch of warriors coming to restore order.
stellar seven>>>fab five
They could have as many as 10 first rounders in the 14 draft.
Don’t tell me it’s not over, when it most assuredly is over. #9
Depending on who comes back we may have 9 all Americans on the roster. Greatest team ever?
wake me up in late oct..
Go Zags!
Go CATS! BBN!
#5 YES!! So excited for the next season (and to put this season behind us). Let’s add #9 in 2014.
Well, its not over. #Wiggins
“He’s right. (cry) It’s over.” (cry) said Ryan Harrow (cry). Glad to be rid of the WhinyCats and have some players with swag coming in.
I still love the kids on this year’s team, but next year’s team ALREADY has more swagger
At least these new recruits aren’t entitled like this years bunch…
John Calipari may have just constructed the most dangerous team in all of college basketball history if everything plays out right. And you haters were hatin’ on him yesterday. GO CATS!!!
Funny… We were all saying the same thing last fall after the Noel announcement.
this is crazy. #9 is a lock. If Wiggins commits…. LEGENDARY.
SUPER SEVEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Let’s see, if we call Mays Uncle Julius, what do we call Randall? Julius the Kid? Julius Caesar? Suggestions, BBN?
Where is he in Europe? Tweeted this at 5:29 pm today.

NCAA announces that all applications for next year’s Final Four in Texas by the way have been taken by the state of Kentucky.
If Wiggins verbals….it’s be the ELITE EIGHT!
We would have the number 1 player at every position according to ESPN rankings if Wiggins commits. Go Cats!!!
Now I’ve got to wait nearly 7 months to see these guys play! Can’t wait that long!!!
Ender Will Save Us All
He could have also said “It’s on now!”
Fair-weather fans can piss and moan all they want about some of our current players; however, I am JACKED about the idea of those guys returning with the incoming class. I think you will see HUGE improvements from this year’s team now that there will be more competition during practices.

Can’t wait til our revenge tour next year. It’s gonna be so fun next year!
With our returning players, And the young guns, with hard work and a team first mentality (we should have learned that this year) we will be very good by the end of next season.
40-0?
2 starting 5 NBA teams if Wiggins comes. When will he sign up? No way he’ll miss out on this kind of history. ITs got to entice Noel as well…
This is soooooo SAWEEET!
#26….that’s EXACTLY what I’ve been saying to folks. They are still going to be FRESHMAN, no different than this bunch this season. Either way, it’s going to take time….
Suck on that Bill Self and Rockchalk Jayhawk!
Does appear the incoming do have a little chip on their shoulders and wil play like warriors. The will be a big time upper from the downer and disgrace of this year. Also hope Poy, Harrow, and Wusstjer move on or are given pink slips.
My shirt says it all
ENVY OUR PAST…. FEAR OUR FUTURE!

What happened to JT’s inside source? An internet poster making stuff up?!? Never!!
No Mike42, I want them to stay….they’ll just get better going up against these guys!

Sweeeettttt!!! I am ready now!
Re the seven incoming Freshmen: THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN RIDE AGAIN!
#50- Noel and Harrow will be gone. Hood will return to walk-on status for Wiggins if he chooses UK. I’d say the chances we get Gordon are pretty slim.
50. Noel is a top 3 pick. Harrow is going to cosmetology school. We are set…
Noel as good as gone, prob wcs too..but if not polson walk on and hood to walk on
Culver, Harrow likely won’t be back. Noel is going pro. Sign Wiggins and Polson walks on (no way Wiggins and Gordon go to the same school; they play the same position). Problem solved.
do redshirts count against us? noel is gone and cauley stein is likely gone. That leaves 13….
54. Hood was never a walk-on
#50 I’d still love to add the KY high school player that played so well in the Sweet 16. Polson/Hood walk-ons. Noel goes pro.
WCS just tweeted…212 days til BBM #letsgetthisrig #BBN
TWINS only count as 1 scholarship!!!!!!!
UK bench will be ranked 5th next year.
#50. Noel is leaving. He’ll still be a top 5 pick, I’d love to have him back, but it’s not happening. Polson will be a walk on again, Harrow might transfer, and Hood might as well just so he can actually play.

“The Redeemers” That’ll be what we call next year’s team.
66) I like the name!

Anyone else wondering how Harrison is sending this at a future time?
You’re all dumb. This team will still lose games, but the only difference is, they may win the NIT next year!
“Anyone else wondering how Harrison is sending this at a future time?”
Everyone said the kid was fast

74. Mays was a graduate student.
26 (Yoda): Pragmatic, we are not. Help ourselves, we cannot.
You tell em Andrew. Yee ha!

I don’t mean to poop on the #9 parade, but if these new players really believe “it’s over”, we are set up for an epic fail.
#50

Jot it down. The Redeemers. Love it.
