#23 in yeller is a nice little player. Would love for Cal to offer him and loan him out to Joker.

Have we offered Williams? Didn’t think so. Love how these kids say they are considering UK when we haven’t even offered. Wish Cal would call some of them out.

Aaron harrison to Andrew harrison for the three at the buzzer. I can just see that happening at Rupp.

I’m not kidding… I would love to see Cal offer that #23 kid. Top 50 kid AND he could help the football team! Wont help Joker (he’ll be long gone by the time he gets to campus) but I’m sure the next coach will appreciate Cal’s gift.

Just tuned in and see Cal talking about all the players who just got drafted and now Andy Katz talking UK. Awesome.

#8- B/c that’s how you get kids to like you on the recruiting trail….you “call them out.” Good thinking.

Can we talk Derrick Griffin into playing UK instead of Texas A&M.?

If Cal misses on these kids, then he ought to join Joker on the bus out of Lexington. I’m sure he has an NBA gig lined up when that does happen.

#13 – “Committed” and “signed” are two totally different words. But I do appreciate what you’re saying. And I doubt at this point Cal would get into recruiting “committed” players.

#17 – I see what you’re saying. Cal seems like he really cares what # 30 ranked kids and below think of him. You probably told people you were thinking about going to Harvard, coming out of high school – but ended up at some technical ‘school’ in Knoxville.

Is it crazy to think these guys might go to SMU? Close to home and Larry Brown has taken over the realm.
And I think they said #23 was the #1 hybrid TE in the country.

  27. that guy
    8:12 pm July 25, 2012 Permalink

26 – I don’t think we need to worry about SMU. Not that it will matter to the brothers (1 and done), but I would bet the house that Brown will not be at SMU past 2 seasons.

Good to see 2 coaches on TV with National Championship rings from UK (Cal and pitiner). Cal is cutting up, talking to the “competition” for the brothers (Maryland). While pitiner sits with an assistant and his son – rick looks like he’s about to sh!t a brick.

#23- Like WCS, for instance? Or the kid from Bullitt East? And not to mention the fact that these kids all talk to each other and are friends and play on the same teams, etc. Good luck with life, uhhhh. It’s going to be a tough one.

I’ve learned to stop worrying…I remember being depressed all day when I thought Poythress was gonna go to Memphis, same when I thought Noel was going to Georgetown. Point is people will start rumors to gain interest. In Cal We Trust

Guest – get off my jock. If you didn’t get the jist of what I was saying without you taking it SOOOO literally, then I feel sorry for ya. I’m try’n to break my 7 year old of that right now. Will it make you feel better if I say #40 and below? Oh and way to list a group that is made up of more guys that didn’t sign with us anyway (and Harrow that Cal didn’t recruit outa hs anyway). And if you didn’t notice, WCS is / was thought of as an after thought. And, Willis, really, several people are questioning if Cal should set him free…

Take this for what it’s worth but a long-time friend of my brother-in-law’s who lives in TX and who apparently has some kind of association with AAU ball claims that Aaron Harrison, Sr. is very much a business man when it comes to his sons. And by that, I don’t mean he’s looking to get paid for sending to any particular school but rather that he is very focused on doing everything he can to ensure that they have the best opportunity to be successful in the NBA (and then he get’s his payday ;-). Now, again, I can only say “take that for what it’s worth”, but if you were a father of kids in this situation and you were really looking at things from purely a business perspective, no program on their list can match what Calipari and UK offer when the end goal is maximizing exposure and getting successfully to the NBA as soon as possible. I sincerely hope that Andrew Harrison, Sr. see it as clear cut as I do!

#34 – I guess you are one of the folks that like (a) Govenment check, assistance, cheese, housing, etc. I can see why people like you would want to keep Barry around another 4 years.

Both kids can hoop. Best two guards in the class. JJ Redick (which they referred too a couple of times, I like to think Brandon Knight) type range from the brother that is the 2 guard. The PG brother is as solid as they come, has a great handle, good jumper and great passer. I think I would rather have those 2 then Jabari Parker.

As a follow up to my previous post @ #36, I should probably add that UK would seem to make the most sense if you fully expect Harrow and Goodwin to be one-and-dones.
