This is a make or break year for Andre Woodson and his NFL future. He is currently in a battle for the third string QB job with the Giants and one cannot underestimate how important this series of preseason games will be to his future. That is why it was great news to read in Chris Mortenson’s reports on the first series of preseason practices that Woodson was one of the highlights. Mortenson spoke with Giants Coach Tom Coughlin who said:
While David Carr is the backup quarterback and the Giants drafted Rhett Bomar in the fifth round, the most improved quarterback — by far, according to head coach Tom Coughlin — is last year’s fifth-rounder, Andre Woodson.
“Did you see him?” asked Coughlin. “Totally different guy.”
Good news for Andre, who I hope finds success and a stable spot in the league this season.
