How ’bout some notes with a side of podcast?

— We’re under two hours away from Perry Ellis’ big announcement. Ellis will announce his college decision today at 3:45 and hopefully we’ll have a live feed right here on KSR. Kansas is the favorite, but there’s no quit in John Calipari’s recruiting game. Keep your fingers crossed.

— Attention UK Students: The student lottery for Big Blue Madness tickets will be Monday, September 26th at 9:00 PM at Memorial Coliseum. The doors open at 8:00 PM. Student tickets are available to anyone who is a full time student (12 hours undergraduate or 9 hours graduate) and has a valid UK Student ID card. Students will be given a number upon entry and thrown into a drawing for the 1,100 available student tickets. Each student whose name is drawn will receive two tickets. That means only 550 people will be leaving with tickets. Memorial seats 9,000. Good luck!

Coach Cal was at football practice today. Does he ever stop?

— The John Wall Dance has its own Wikipedia page. And it comes with an awesome .gif.

— Did anyone catch the hilarious news from the Red Sox game last night? Boston’s starting pitcher was served child support papers before he took the mound. The funniest part? The pitcher, Erik Bedard, was hit with the papers by a man wearing a Yankees t-shirt. Want more goodness? He was pulled in the third inning. Want even more goodness? The papers came from Lexington, KY where the mother of his child currently lives.

— Speaking of Boston, the Patriots put Myron Pryor on injured reserve today. The former UK defensive lineman injured his shoulder in the first half of Saturday’s win over the Chargers.

— On this morning’s radio show, Matt talked about Outback, O’Charley’s, and Cracker Barrel. Listen in to find out why…

They made a big deal about Bedard, almost like he is a dead beat dad. Why is that funny? It would be if he were not paying at all.
