University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

All-State teams announced

Kentucky signee and Mr. Basketball Darius Miller (above) landed a spot on the Associated Press All-State First Team, but was beaten out for Player of the Year by Tennessee signee and McDonald’s All-American Scotty Hopson.  Also, incoming UK walk-on Landon Slone was also named to the First Team.  Here is the full list and their college choices, where applicable, for the first two teams:

Jon Hood, Madisonville  (Junior, offered by UK among others)
Scotty Hopson, University Heights  (University of Tennessee)
Shelvin Mack, Bryan Station  (Butler)
Darius Miller, Mason County  (UK)
Landon Slone, Paintsville  (UK)

Second Team
Tyshwan Edmondson, University Heights  (looking at St. John’s, Dayton, Richmond, George Mason, Eastern Kentucky, Georgetown College and Morehead State)
Arrez Henderson, Holmes  (visited Louisiana Tech and is being recruited by Northern Kentucky.  Rumored to be a UK walk-on target) 
Aaron Morris, Madison Central  (looking at Eastern Kentucky, Morehead State, Tennessee Tech, IUPUI, Chattanooga and Georgetown College)
– Nathan Novosel, Lexington Catholic
– Clark Stepp, June Buchanan  (Mississippi State, Western Kentucky, Morehead, Eastern Kentucky, Furman, visited UK and is rumored to be a potential walk-on candidate)
