All five players to announce tomorrow

Marquis Teague, Doron Lamb, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Terrence Jones, and Anthony Davis will hold a joint press conference tomorrow to announce their basketball futures. A time has not been set but we’ll let you know as soon as it’s released.
NBA GMs are licking their chops.
Go Cats.

Good luck boys.
Wait so they’re announcing their “futures”? As in there is a chance that one of them might not go? or more? that’s worded as if to say they’re each doing something different. otherwise it’d say they’re announcing for the NBA, not just “futures”
Betting all are heading to NBA. Good luck boys!
Rumor has it that they’re all coming back to form the Greatest College Basketball team ever!
A day that will live in infamy.
3 – Yeah that’s what I’m thinking. It wouldn’t make sense for one of them (Lamb) to have a different decision than the others. But hey, anything can happen!
i think there all gone if you remember t jones didnt say till later on on derby day and he said on twitter the ones that had the announcement left
Will Wiltjer make his announcement tomorrow too? His stats do look better than Orton’s from 09-10…
I have a feeling that one of them will surprise us, not sure which one, but I really think one of them will be back!
4, if that happened the NCAA would cancel the season and just mail us the trophy!
Best wishes for all of them. They take BBN with them wherever they go.
Know what’s coming but it will still be hard to face.
Thanks for the memories & for the Banner!
Anticipation boner!
Bob Ryan is preaching to us UK fans- Didn’t he learn from Diggers’ example. DON’T LECTURE BBN http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=7815567
If they are holding a joint press conference, I cannot see any of them staying. I imagine it is an all for one and one for all.
If they are announcing together they are all gone, good luck boys!
Are they going to have hats? One with the UK logo, and the other with the NBA logo. One by one, they make their choice. I think that’s the way to go.
Good luck guys! thanks for the most fun season ever!
Gonna feel like I’ve been dumped tomorrow. Still gonna wish ’em the best!
Does it say anything that all 5 aren’t waiting for the April 29th NBA deadline? Thinking maybe a couple know they are outside the lottery and will return?? Okay, I know they’re all leaving..wishful thinking’s a bit**.
If even one of them comes back, I’m going to choke Digger Phelps, then throw a chair through Jimmy Dykes head.
They gone! and deservedly so! This season was magical.
Probably all leaving… but if not
1-Teague, Harrow
2-Lamb, Goodwin
3-Gilchrist, Poythress
4-Jones, Wiltjer
5-Davis, Noel
Cauley, Beckham, Polson, Malone
First Undefeated Team since ’76
Their just announcing their decision to take their talents… to the newly remodeled E-town Shoneys!
i bet some of them go to the nba
More like “one for one, all for themselves.” This is the biggest group of selfish players I have ever seen. Go ahead and “get yours” in the NBA. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, you can’t win a national championship with a bunch of sophomores who won the championship ad freshmen. It’s just never been done legitimately.
presser tomorrow at 2:00 per UK
If Lamb were planning on coming back, I don’t see him making his decision so soon. I may be off on some of this, and don’t know deadlines, but wouldn’t he wait longer before announcing that he is going to stay? Or does it make sense to announce that he is going, and then in a few days (after feedback) decide to return? I just think if they’re all going in together, before the deadline, that they’re all gone.
In a surprise move, the player no one is talking about will be coming back for another year — Darius Miller is seeking an appeal from the NCAA to give him another year of eligibility, on the grounds that his first year under BCG was so traumatic that we should forget it ever happened. It’s the seldom used “emotional hardship” rule. Miller for #9!
25) lol…hilarious
#18, Priceless!!!
I can’t remember anyone ever announcing they are coming back at a press conference so they’re all gone. Thanks for everything fellas and good luck in the future.
22- Giggity
The question is not if they’re all leaving. The question is, do they all go in the first round+ Miller?
#18 – it may feel like we’re getting dumped by the hot girl tomorrow, but we will just rebound and start dating another hot girl.
After they all declare tomorrow, do you think that makes Bennett more likely to commit to Kentucky?
I heard they wre all shaving the jerry west NBA emblem in their hair and merely turning around at the presser
Thanks for the giggity
These young men have earned their chance to make it in the NBA and we should all be thankful that we had a chance to see them play as Kentucky Wildcats and wish them the greatest of success in the future no matter what they do.
36- lol…true, but I think AD’s gonna be sitting backwards and turn around with it shaved in his brow.
No matter that I already know they’re all gone….
No matter that they deserve it….
No matter that it makes top recruits want to come here….
IT STILL SUCKS A BIGGUN!!!
If they all go – we have 6.75 players in next years rotation as of right now. (.5 Hood; .25 Beckham)
We need to add at least 2 more.
38) I think everyone here is in total agreement with that statement-
38) Unless any one of them go on to killing babies. I can’t support that endeavor.
#22- A girl can dream. Sigh. Come on guys, you can shock tha world. Prediction: at the press conference they all turn around with UK shaved I their hair. I called it.
See ya boys! thanks for the memories… and the hardware.
All of them will anounce they are coming back to repeat as champions. If they do, I guarantee that unemployment will not go above 8%. BTW…I prevented Wiltjer and Hood from leaving.
Seriously happy for these kids who’ve worked so hard. They’re gonna be living large! Can’t wait to get my Anthony Davis Bobcats jersey.
No matter how much you ponder the scenarios, you really never know what’s going to happen. Sources say this and that, but they are just people who are trying to get to the emotions of us fans. Sit back and relax. Enjoy the ride. Whether they leave or not, I know as BBN faithful, we will cheer for these young men next year. They have poured their heart and soul out for the tradition that is Kentucky Basketball. It would be great to have them back, but great to see them go and follow their dreams, just like the many of us are doing, sitting at our office computers.
I really don’t think it will happen, but didn’t Florida’s starters have a joint press conference in 2006 to announce they were all coming back? We know how that worked out for them…
Thanks for the memories.
The CAT’S will be great next year and these guys gave us #8. Lamb is as good a guard as there is. He desreves to go in the first round
They are all announcing they will file for an extension on their taxes.
In all seriousness. Thanks for one of the greatest seasons in UK history
49..If it did, Flat Top Feller would shave “Oh Crap” in his head.
Here’s what scares me…we know Davis will make it; we THINK Jones will make it but since he took an extra year, we’ll still look good even if he doesn’t; we HOPE MKG will make it but I hope he stays another year a la Jones. Lamb is a tossup – another year would help him and Teague. At a point, the success of these kids when they do leave UK is a critical element to Cal’s pitch. If they all go pro and none of them are successful but Davis, I can see opposing coaches using that against us. JMO.
I think Teague would be better served to come back. With his brother in the league, it’s not like he has to go to support his family.
Looks like they’re all gone, BUT if Lamb or Teague go and get bad reviews back they can still come back if they don’t hire an agent. Here’s to hoping!
wuta bout dat boi Milla n Vargas, is dem bois gunna be der 2?
56, no they cant. acter april 11, there is no coming back.
54) It doesn’t matter what they do in the NBA, Cal prepares them better than any other coach for the NBA but once you’re there it’s up to the player to make it happen. Cal is the best coach at getting players into the league, period.
Congratulations, good luck and best wishes whatever the decision.
Will be watching ‘the door’ – see ya!
Why are they having a joint press conference. That is a little weird.
