Kentucky has received all five signed LOIs

Kentucky has received all five signed letters of intent from its 2013 recruiting class. The Harrisons, James Young, Marcus Lee and Derek Willis can officially call themselves Kentucky Wildcats.

“Ohhhhh…. C! A! T! S! CATS! CATS! CATS!”

Here’s what John Calipari had to say about each signee…

Aaron Harrison: “Aaron is more of a scoring guard who can make shots and make plays at the rim,” Calipari said. “He can also play some point in a pinch. Like his brother, Andrew, he has the ability to physically dominate the opponent.”

Andrew Harrison: “Andrew comes in ready to play physically at the point-guard position,” Calipari said. “He’s a driver, slasher and playmaker with great size. He and his brother Aaron have the ability to be great on-ball defenders.”

James Young: “James is a long, athletic and skilled wing,” Calipari said. “He’s a lefty who can shoot it and get in transition. You can throw it ahead to him and he can make basketball plays. He rebounds the ball for his position as well anyone in the class.”

Marcus Lee: “Marcus Lee is a long, agile, quick-bounce, quick-twitch, 6-9 forward,” Calipari said. “He gets to the basket, he’s a terrific shot-blocker and he can rebound above the rim. Marcus has unlimited upside because he’s going to get stronger and he’s going to improve his skill around the basket. His speed, quickness, jumping ability and length set him apart.”

Derek Willis: “Derek is a very skilled, 6-9 big man who is learning to play through bumps, which is going to elevate his game,” Calipari said. “He’s a long-armed basketball player who can get his hands on balls and really pass. Like Marcus, he has a tremendous upside because he’s going to get stronger and be able to play more physical and really use his size and his shot-making ability to spread the court for us.”

  5. UK b’ball = “We don’t rebuild, we reload!”
Sorry for the tired old cliche, but it’s never been more true than with Cal at the UK helm!

Ther Harrison’ twins said they would wait and did not. This means they are overrated. Anoth Cal recruiting class that will not be ranked number one.

If Wiggins signs, the Cats will start 6-5 Andrew Harrison, 6-5 Aaron Harrison, 6-6 James Young, 6-7 Wiggins and hopefully 7-0 Willie Cauley-Stein.
Not large at the 4 spot, but man will they have the horses to run

So did Pitino take a year off from recruiting? Or are the recruits finally seeing the light?

I don’t believe UK received signed LOIs from the Harrison twins. They are just saying they did.

    13. If they didn’t, Cal couldn’t even mention their name. So I’ll take his word for it.

10- how dare you make assumptions about what our lineup will look like next season. It is not your place, nor mine, to speculate on what Cal will do with his team. I’m tired of you getting on this board and promoting your “ability to forecast”…damn you!

say cal lands j randle and wiggins 40&0 could be in sight with that much raw talent and the chemistry between andrew and aaron already will just add to that potential next year could be calipari’s legitamate shot at doing the impossible
