Adidas unveils new Louisville practice gear

It didn’t take long for Adidas to match the new Hyper Elite Platinum line by Nike. The German sports apparel manufacturer just announced a new practice uniform for the Louisville Cardinals. It’s 950% heavier than most practice uniforms but it’s tailored to fit Louisville’s needs and style.

Catchy slogan. If I am drew, I’m trademarking that quick. Like, in the next 15 seconds quick.

LOL nice, Drew. I, for one, think the new UK jerseys are pretty tight. I assume everyone complaining about them is between 68-90 years old. In all my years of watching UK, my favorite jerseys were the black ones honoring Keightley. If UK busted out the black jerseys once a year or once every couple of years I would love it.

People need to understand that recruits want to play for teams with cool uniforms. Even earlier this year, Archie Goodwin took Baylor off his list because he didn’t like their uniform colors. Look at the difference between Penn St. and Oregon in football. Oregon’s connection to Nike has led to several ahead-of-the-curve uniforms that have helped elevate their football program to elite status. The only complaint I’ve heard regarding the new uniforms is that “grey/platinum isn’t our school color.” People need to get over it because the players like it, the coaches like it, recruits like it, and it’s good for the program. Who you rather of not have been among the elite teams that unveiled their new uniforms today? I think UK is in a pretty good place…

#4 – I like the new ones too and also agree that the black ones we had for a couple or 3 games were really cool. I wish we played a couple of games a year in them.

Drew, you forgot to add a cup for protection of the “frank and beans”…. Oh wait, we don’t have to use protection because we ejaculate “down our leg”!

#4- That is exactly why the new unis are so important. We should be grateful that we are in the elite class of universities that get to be on the cutting edge of uni technology.

4 – A “tight” jersey is the last thing any team featuring Jon Hood should wear.

@ #4 Completely agree. Love the black jerseys and love getting new looks. We will always have our classic colors and I would actually love to have throwbacks like the NFL and NBA do. It is great for recruits and is easy to sell for the university. All around great idea to always have awesome uniforms, especially considering this university sported freaking denim.

i love cool unis too. but why couldn’t they have created a cool uni with the basic Blue & White incorporated as the eye-catching focal point, instead of…grey….blah. these things make all the teams wearing them look Team Nike and strips the individual teams of their traditional colors that says who each of them are, which i’m sure is Nike’s aim.

Drew and TB make this site worth reading, and the only reason I return each day. When I see they don’t run the post, it’s like going to Grantland and not seeing Simmons having an article. Keep up the good work.
