Oh, Dana. Yes, we all know by now that Louisville loses 2 crucial pieces (Siva, Dieng) and replaces them with new players or players in different positions and they’re a good bet. Kentucky does it and it’s inexperience because this past year erases Cal’s other 3 at UK and proves that Cal sucks, right?

UL loses 3 seniors, Dieng, and won’t have a full-strength Ware, right? Yet somehow they have 7 guys with significant contributions. It remains to be seen if Smith can stay as hot now that everyone knows about him. Also, their Juco will be fantastic, unlike a large percentage of Jucos. Siva’s not John Wall, and he had plenty of bad nights, but he was their 4th year PG. He knew Rick’s offense. Rozier, Juco, or Russ Smith at the point will not be the same. Pitino isn’t Cal to make the Final Four with a freshman PG. Especially if the NCAA actually starts calling arm bars and hand checks.

We’ll find out for sure on UL’s chances and defense when they play a much bigger UK squad, especially if the refs call handchecks (which they won’t).

It’s kind of pathetic to think that a blue blood program like Kansas has the same amount of NCAA Championships as Louisville.
