And Aaron harrison I think it is will be every bit the shooter wiljter has been the kid can flat out drain it and from way out so even if Kyle does leave I think we’ll be ok in the 3pt department

I would love to see Wiltjer stay and develop over a 3 or 4 year career. He could end up with 3 rings. Would hate to see him go.

Maybe Wiltjer can go to Gonzaga and grow his hair out and be the next Kelly Olynck. I think Kyle would fit in better there.

You never know how stacked the 2014 class will be in Wiltjer’s spot by then. He may not play much next season, but he may develop and be a star in his senior year. Would he really benefit by leaving now and sitting out a year anyway?
Let Duke be preseason #1. I’d prefer it. I’d like these guys to start out maybe #6 and work their way up. Remember when UNC was preseason #1?

I want Wiltjer to stay!! I believe in loyalty and development! This kid has talent, and we have the depth to not force Wiltjer into odd defensive positions.
19. Step outside the box and realize people can improve if they work hard. You can lift weights and do speed training that make positive impacts you know. You may sit back and hope for a genie and three wishes to get though life, but most people work hard for what they earn. Don’t just happen overnight.

I am already over this pathetic year and looking forward to next year. Wiltjer may have to transfer because I seriously doubt he will play over Randle or Lee. Wiggins would be insane, but even without him, this team could do some serious damage next year. We have multiple threats outside with the Harrison twins & Young. Randle is a lefty and kind of reminds me of Terrence Jones but looks a bit more explosive..ie Kidd Gilchrist mode. He can shoot outside and is an outstanding passer, defender and rebounder. Let’s not forget about Dakari Johnson or Marcus Lee. Both are super talented as well. We really need a few of the existing players to return. I think Harrow, Goodwin, Poythress and Stein could provide some outstanding experience and would give this team the depth and enough bodies to create competitive practices. That in turn means the haters who are laughing at us today, are already green with envy because they know what to expect next year.
LOYALTY to Wiltjer!!! I am getting tired of our fan-base for just wanting to push Kyle out so easily. Believe in the kid!

Wiltjer has the speed of a 50 yr old. I say the more cal can get rid of the better on this team. I think they will just bring the new guys down. I have seen to many times this year these guys disrespect the coaches. Need a big kick in the a$$ on the way out. Harrow and Wiltjer being the most disrespectful..
I would love to see Kyle stay, redshirt, and spend a year in the weight room.

37, you must be a Cards fan…. Harrow needs more development, and Wiltjer is as nice as they come. Archie and Alex were by far the characters that were actually disrespectful.
UK had no competition for minutes last season, which is why the players faltered. Next year, UK will have plenty of competition for playing time. The pressure will create better players.

47) Kansas fans are apparently hoping Self tries to snake him, even though Lee signed a LOI. It’s probably a rumor one of them made up. You can’t listen to any rumors right now because the trolls are out in force.
Our disappointing season was the result of a lack of three goggles, ask D Lamb or Jones how important three goggles are to success…. This is something Cal needs to address with next years team and should be mandatory upon making a three point basket

47. Lee tweeted to the other recruits, including Randle, saying, “yeah they not ready for us!!” Anything is possible, but I highly doubting that he’s upset. If he was angry, he could just as easily have tweeted nothing.
I hope Kyle stays and gets better at his weaknesses in the off season just like any other returnees.
The only development harrow needs is to grow some balls in the place of that Vigina. Pretty simple, he talks like Minny Mouse.
Lee is solid to UK. He wants to play with the best and will be a bigger surprise than Cauley-Stien.

For perspective on today….does anybody recall what the rankings were for our “super” freshmen this year? Obviously Noel was 1 or 2 but how about Alex P, WCS and Archie…assume 2 of those three were ranked as top 10 talent coming out of High School………

Some people are just idiots. They will bitch and moan about not having 3 and 4 years players that stay and develop and give us experience but then they want to run off Kyle Wiltjer just because he hasn’t fully developed yet. The kid may be slow, but he can become an offensive machine. What if he works his butt off this summer perfecting a Dirk Nowitzki fade away? Do you think Dirk does this just to be doing it? It perfected it because like Wiltjer he was too slow to get a shot off. Surrounded by the right team mates, Wiltjer can still be a big factor for us. With the right players and better defenders around him, we can hide some of his defensive weaknesses. (You cannot switch him off on a small player and expect good results)

56 – Lee won’t be a surprise because we already know how good he is. He was a rebounding and blocking machine this year. Plus he can score the ball. He had at least 10 games this year where he got a triple double. He has his eye on breaking Anthony Davis’s blocks record. He had a number of games where he got 14 blocks in one game this year and averaged 20 rebounds a game. He won’t be a surprise to anyone who has been paying attention.
Lay off the players.
They are under enough pressure as it is.

58 – Nerlens was the only #1 rank for his position. Alex was #2 or 3 SF. Archie was #3, 4, or 5 SG. Alex was the only one or our players ranked in the top 10 players in this year’s freshman class besides Nerlens. WCS was ranked 6th or 10th best center.
Wiltjer can come back if he works on his game and stays away from the video games.
