What is the Kernel trying to achieve with the appeal? Is there some nugget that they expect to find in the records?
1. The Kernel is a student newspaper. Most of those students are studying journalism – which by definition (not necessarily by practice on the national scene over the past couple of decades) means searching out the truth – even when it might expose something uncomfortable or unpleasant.
I understand many UK fans are not accustomed to young people on campus who actually take their academics more seriously than just bouncing a ball – but it’s true.

The Mayans have to be right, I’m convinced now. The top 2 vote-getters in the AP’s All-American team are Cody Zeller and Doug McDermott.
