I’d be surprised if any of these Freshmen went to the pros this year. Maybe after next year.
“Brandon Knight and his family aren’t currently contemplating a scenario that finds him in the NBA next year”. Yeah, with the emphasis on the word “CURRENTLY”. (That’s all they said.) They will contemplate it after the season is over, of course. If Brandon plays his way into the Lottery, he will have to go. TJ will be gone as well- he is already in the Lottery.
Gotta love those Ky boys that stay with the program….we couldnt have fielded a team if Farmer, Pelphrey, Feldhaus, Hansen had not stayed.
pretty misleading tag on the first story. i got excited for a second
To be honest which is it; the NBA Scouts, agents and media that put players into the NBA early or is it pure ability?
trey thomkins doesn’t see a difference between us, florida, and tennessee? that’s probably because he lost all of his last games against those teams
Somebody get Tipton on the phone….Alabama committed a violation for chanting a recruit’s name
I really think the stock of Terrence will fall before the season is over. I mean he’s a great college player, but he has NO RIGHT HAND. The pros will feast on that, especially since his jumper is average AT BEST. Hopefully, it will fall enough to keep him around one more year, would be coming back to a heck of a team!
Currenty Knight is the 18th rated point guard by rivals in college (doesnt include foreign players). Jones is 5th rated Power forward behind Thompkins at Georgia, nobody else on UK is listed including Enes since he isnt in college. But thats just another player in front of Knight. Teague, Knight, Gilchrist, Wiltjer, Davis…bench Miller,Lamb,Liggins, worst player ever, hood, Polson….maybe poole, banner #8!!!
I think Coach Cal needs to start recruiting some junior college players and allowing players to transfer in from other colleges like the kid coming in next year from MSU. This would supplement his freshman talent and give us 2 or 3 years out of a player that we would otherwise loose if we recruited only five-star freshmen. Pitino did this with guys like Anderson, Pope, and Evans. Why couldn’t Coach Cal do the same?
This losing four freshmen players a year to be replaced by four new freshmen cycle is not going to work. I hate it and it makes me kind of sick. This is going to have to change. There is simply no way to make this process work effectively. You need the quality 2 – 4 year kid who learns and improves within the system.
What about me?? I may go pro…. (sike)
My baby boy could go pro if I could just get him off my tit.
He’s softer than a baby’s bottom.
Since Kentucky has already lost three road games and the toughest part of the season is coming up I don’t expect any good to happen the rest of the season. It was fun while it lasted. Ha
#11, is it a certainty that this frosh turnover will occur at 100% every year? It hasn’t even happened twice yet. If Cal’s predecessors (who recruit like you claim to want) hadn’t left the cupboards so bare, we wouldn’t have had a need for an entire frosh class of studs just to be able to compete…and make it back to the NCAA tourney.
Patience. Perspective. Let the man build an ENTIRE roster before you make such stark claims about how his system will not work here, please.
