I’ve read about everything I can about the Enes Kanter situation and it’s hard for me to believe that the NCAA can’t find a solution to allow him to play SOMETIME! Intent of the Kanters in this case only point to him trying to keep his amateur status….
Let him play the excess funds received and let’s move on!!!!!!
Free Enes you hypocritical bastards. Tell Enes to get money from a booster (Maggette), get a house for his parents to live in (Sydney), sell the house for tattoos (Ohio St tattooed 5), get more money from an Agent friend of the family (Selby) and declare for the draft and not take his name out (Bost) all the while having his Dad allegdly shop his services without his knowledge (Newton). If he can accomplish all this he will be in uniform for Georgia this weekend.

I have a buddy that lives in Lexington and he said everyone is saying Kanter was cleared. I’m being serious and want to know if anyone has heard anything because i’ve been refreshing this page nonstop for about 15 minutes.
The NCAA offices should be burnt to the ground and Mark Emmert hung by his own entrails. I’m not advocating that, but it is warranted given how they are intent on burning Kanter in order to get at UK and Coach Cal.

15- im sure he was being sarcastic by saying “everyone” but his facebook status said Enes has been freed and a bunch of people from Lexington were commenting on it saying “just saw it, so awesome” and one of my buddies text me about 20 minutes ago and said he wasnt missing the game Saturday cause Kanter just got ruled eligible and they were announcing it later tonight. I don’t think this many people would randomly joke about it at the same time but I can’t find anything on the internet, was seeing if anyone has heard anything cause I’m about to explode with excitement.

Hopefully, the NCAA will realize that Kanter wants to be a student athlete. He could have already been making several million dollars by now if he wanted to. Nevertheless, the NCAA has a made several controversial decisions lately. In my opinion, Kanter should be allowed to play simply because the culture in Europe is different than here in the United States and some of the precedents set lately were ruled on the idea that the individuals were “not sufficiently educated about receiving impermissible benefits”. That being said, how could the Kanter family have been educated on what benefits were allowed? Free Enes!!! Go Cats!!

It has come obvious to me that the NCAA will always play favors. Am I bias, hell yes I am. Being an UK Basketball Fan is a birth right to all who was born in Kentucky. You may be one of those Fans north west of Lexington (Louisville) and claim to bleed red, but inside your blood runs blue! Kanter is a free man and will be free to continue his life after the NCAA tries to discourage him. I hope that if the NCAA truely feels that thier decision to find Enes ineligible is correct, I hope they can live with it. $33,000.00 !!!! Pocket change to those who just won the $355,000,000.00 Lottery. Its still pocket change to the Turkish Team that knew exactly what they were doing when they convinced the Kanters to accept money above what they (Turkish)knew they NCAA would find excessive. I’m done with my comments. I’m sure they are worth no more than the paper its written on! (pocket change)

These wackos that are the so called NCAA ruling committee are grossly unfair and unqualified to make an objective ruling on the cruel and unusual punishment they have sent to Enes and UK. It is just unfathamable how they can let the improper deeds of the Newtons, Selbys and others go unpunished and then rule as they have when Enes and his father have done nothing that they thought was wrong or improper. The head “nut job” is Mark Emmert (ex UW Athletic Director), and the website is ncaa.org…..I have lit it up and I hope a lot of you can do the same. I feel so sorry for this kid, his family, and the entire UK community.

if this case is so important because of its impact on future european players and their eligibility, and its gone on this long, the way that the appeal committee feels it should hear kanter speak is by conference call? you’ve got to be kidding me…what? they couldn’t find the time to drive/fly to lexington to hear the kid speak for himself or vice versa. we all know how horribly awkward conference calls are, plus there’s a language barrier. nice job ncaa…conference call?
I wonder just how many more times we are going to have to read or hear this same old story about Kanter?
