Sitting here watching the Bill Keightley ceremony, I was as moved by the statements made by Rick Pitino as any that I can remember seeing in quite some time. For many years, I have had difficulty with Rick for reasons that are admittedly, not entirely rational. After seeing him today, watching his affection for the University and hearing him speak about Keightley, that time has ended. He is still the coach of the dreaded Cards, but he is also a tremendous part of the UK legacy. John Clay wrote earlier today that a tribute to Keightley would be to once again embrace Pitino. For me, that began after Rick’s comments tonight.
