A Tailgating Masterpiece

memorial-hall

Kentucky and Louisville will play Saturday night at Commonwealth Stadium.  I’m not sure if Matthew Mattingly will see kickoff.  He says he will, but I have my doubts.  Mattingly, along with artist Mike Black, built this replica of Memorial Hall that houses and serves beverages for anyone of legal age and willing to come kick it with them Saturday.

The portion above is roughly five feet tall alone, making the structure about eleventy billion stories tall.  Four of the eight pillars on the replica structure have taps and the menu for this weekend is as follows:  bourbon, John Wall shots, blue margaritas and Clemonade.

Guys, I hope everyone comes out to see it tomorrow. My friend Mike and I spent a lot of time on this, but I think it will be well worth it. We are about to take tailgating to the next level.

I applaud you for this. As a fan of the rival team, it would be disrespectful not to show respect for such a cool, boozy piece of art. Seriously, this should be packed up and taken for display at the Bourbon Festival after the game.
